never had much of an opinion on these guys, not horrible, not awful. changed it to a live show from them, kinda watched. if nothing else i have a newfound respect for them. wish i was there. looked like a party. (stick with it. it picks up at 3 minutes) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gz6RcxqxBRA&feature=related

HERE is my playlist. Play it at all your parties, bar-mitzvahs, PTA meetings, funeral wakes, or wherever the cool kids like to chill these days. That is all...

link I'm not to big into Dream Theater, but I have a few of there albums, and I haven't heard anything by them that I don't like. Avenged Sevenfold on the other hand, I really don't like a majority of their songs.

I love dirt nasty. You should too. He's the rapper from scary movie 3 or whichever one. Used to be a veejay on MTV back when being a veejay was still fashionable.... http://youtu.be/dgdNQuzARBI http://youtu.be/ZCeebCvgjws

Sad times indeed. Dave Brockie was found dead by fellow roommates within his residence yesterday. Dave was 50 years old at the time, and no cause of death is yet known at this time. Gwar was a legendary metal band, full of humor and even political messages. Their crazy style of outrageousness and insane costumes, combined with killer music, will never escape my memory. Rest in peace Dave.

This is the guy from the mystery team movie, and is a comedian. I had no clue he was a musician either and this song is off the hook. http://youtu.be/E7IPOIQoxMw

Anybody know of a decent MP3 that is not too expensive ($50 or under) and is not an Apple product? I have nothing against Apple just don't want to deal with them again after past issues with an iTouch. I mainly need a new MP3 player just for when I go running in the evenings.

So, this band recently released their freshman dics and it has been getting mad air play. Honestly, I can't remember a fresh band that created so much buzz since the Killers dropped Hot Fuss. I saw them play their lead single on Jimmy Kimmel at the beginning of the summer, right as they were about to hit it big, and I just knew they were destined for big things. Also, I watched this video on Vimeo a few months ago and thought the track was pretty sweet. Checked them out on facebook and they only had about 9,000 fans. Big difference now!

Just got back from the Iron Maiden concert, it was fricking incredible. Even though they are getting older they all still have loads of energy, Bruce Dickinson was just running and jumping around all the time. A lot of audience participation too, which was nice. And the stage was pretty damn cool. Is anybody else seeing Iron Maiden on their Final Frontier tour? It's pretty good.

So the What R U Listening to thread is a great way for people here to share music but this site is much cooler and more effective... turntable.fm/gamercide Basically you can have up to 5 people dj'ing at once, each person plays one song and then it goes to the next dj, constantly rotating so everyone can listen/play something. You can have themed listening groups or just play whatever. Join up and everyone can play some music, listen to some new stuff and chat at the same time. Brilliant idea imo. JOIN UP! I'm in there right now.

So, I haven't written any posts about the concerts I've been to lately (many of them have been work related), so I thought I'd sit down to talk about the U2 show I was at yesterday. To begin, I left my house around 2 pm to go downtown to tailgate with my brother and a friend of mine from work along with his buddy. I parked in a lot near the venue (Heinz Field) so we could tailgate, other lots won't let you grill, drink etc., and parking cost $35! My friend showed up about a half hour later and we started drinking a bit. We didn't have a portable grill so he bought a disposable grill for $6 (an aluminum pan that comes with charcoal and a grill to place on top). That was th…

My father is getting married here soon (a few weeks) and I'm his best woman/person whatever you want to call it. We have been through alot together and I thought I would sing a song during the reception. He has no clue. I'm slipping a cd to the DJ :)Anyway...I've been googling songs and I cannot find one that I like to sing. Anybody know of any good father/daughter songs that aren't super cheesey?

Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Secret Chiefs 3, etc.) has joined Tomahawk and will be involved with the groups new album. A posting in regards to that over on Dunn‘s official website reads: “Upon arriving home from that tour, after licking my wounds, I need to dig into learning music for the new Tomahawk record. And yes, it seems as though I’m joining yet another band. This will probably make the fifth band with which Mike Patton and I have shared the stage. Duane Denison and I have been speculating about playing some music together for a while. So, Nashville, here I come.” The post seems to imply that the above will take place around March. More details on Tomahawk‘s new album…

Color Theory In Discovery, the seven colors of the natural spectrum correspond to musical moods exhibited throughout Ghostly's catalogue. Using mood-color information from the MOOD slider along with the values from the DIGITAL/ORGANIC and FASTER/SLOWER sliders, Discovery creates a playlist of songs that reflect exactly how you're feeling, right now. If anything it's got a cute ghost who will give you a different music experience.
