I just noticed something and it got me thinking. I really feel that we're going to see an increase in standard game pricing now. What brought this up? $69.99. Seventy friggin' dollars for a game. It's been pointed out that this is probably the "deluxe" version but I am going to wager that the "deluxe" version is actually the "full" game they created. The "standard" editions of games are going to now be stripped down, weapons removed, character skins not included, maps not included, and so on. We all hate Day 1 DLC. If most of you are like me, you get a little riled up when it comes to purchasing something and then being told you have to pay AGAIN to "access" certain features that are already there. A great example of this is a lot of DLC currently, where the content is already on the disc you've purchased and you have to pay extra money to "unlock" the ability to play it. It drives me BONKERS. So I picked the game up when it came out last Tuesday and have been playing through it on my PS4. While it's not a terrible game whatsoever, I just feel that the title absolutely does not live up to the expectations and hype that surrounded its prerelease. The game world does not feel very alive to me, in the same manner that titles like GTA felt very "organic" and living. It's hard to describe, but it feels stilted and shallow I guess? I'm also not a huge fan of the driving at all. It feels off to me. I have been enjoying the minigames myself. Spider tank is a real joy to play.
