It's a tough decision, but I think I'm going to finally give it a rest. On June 6th, 2010 (if everything keeps going the way it is): I WILL HAVE PLAYED MY XBOX 360 EVERY DAY FOR THE PAST ONE THOUSAND DAYS STRAIGHT!!!! Yup, you read that correct. 1,000 days of straight gaming. Even if I didn't play for hours on a given day, I still found time to turn on my 360 for a quick round of an XBLA game or something. So, I'm going to let my "gaming streak" come to an end. I'm currently ranked as the #47th longest streak in the world on 360Voice with 951 consecutive days currently. It would have been longer, but I lost my streak back in 2006 during a super flood in my area. We…

Ok, so I know this is a video, but check this out. Microsoft is doing R&D work to see what they can do with their Kinect systems and facial recognition to create Avatars which look like you. Most importantly also, they want to create something which will facially animate properly and look like it's actually speaking rather than lyp-syncing.

Get ready to enter, if not pass directly through, the Uncanny Valley.

<object id="flashObj" width="486" height="412" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,47,0"&…

Crap, this is insane. This is exactly why I DON'T play fighting games now-a-days. I mean I used to be great at the older Tekken games, and even could pull off the super 21 hit combos in Killer Instinct, but this is insane. Observe some of Wolverine's combos for the upcoming Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.

Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Kyle Orland. Kyle writes for popular gaming website like Gamasutra and Joystiq. Kyle thought it was necessary to write a help book about the hugely successful Zynga social game, Farmville. Speaking with Ars Technica, Orland describes why he feels that the world needs a “Farmville for Dummies” book. According to Orland, people who play Farmville do not play many video games and therefore need a book detailing how to a play a game that already practically changes your diapers, puts a bottle in your mouth, and teaches you how eat. “Sure, Farmville isn’t a particularly difficult game—it practically holds your hand in telling you how to play, and…

Rocky Donadio, an ex-soldier from Fort Sill has been found guilty in the brutal beating of his 8 year old girlfriend’s son. The beating took place in April 2009, after the 8 year old deleted Donadio’s GTA IV game save. The beating was so severe that the child’s intestines burst and he had to spend 5 months in the hospital recovering. According to KSWO, when the child was able to speak to police about the incident he told them that Donadio “had stomped on his stomach because he had erased an X-Box game.” When the incident occurred, the boy’s mother and Donadio told police that he fell out of his bed. In a recent expletive filled interview with Game Informer, rapper turned actor Ice-T talks about his video game habits and why your kill/death ratio isn’t going to get you any action. “…I have a clan on Call of Duty, and when you start telling me your kill/death ratio – I don’t give a f—. You really going to pick up a b—- by telling her your kill/death ratio? That doesn’t really matter. “ Thank you Captain Obvious. via Game Informer Tweet This Post View the full article

It appears that Twisted Pixel Games who brought ‘Splosion Man, Comic Jumper: The Adventures of Captain Smiley, and The Maw to an Xbox Live Arcade near you might be adding a Kinect Xbox Live Arcade to that list. If what appeared on Xbox.com earlier (it has since been removed) is true then The Gunstringer, the newest game on Twisted Pixel’s lineup is headed for the Arcade. The Gunstringer which is a western style Kinect friendly game will have gamers controlling a puppet as he seeks revenge on the western frontier. No news on an official release date, however Twisted Pixel stated that they expect it be completed in 2011. via Joystiq Tweet This Post View the full …

Nothing says, “come get some” more than a rifle with a glowing round pink light attached above the barrel. CTA Digital developed a rifle peripheral for those of you looking to get a more “hardcore, realistic” experience according to the video. We all know that nothing says hardcore more than a guy sitting on his couch, waving a plastic rifle around with a light at the end of it. via Joystiq Tweet This Post View the full article

Developed by: Colossal Order Published by: Paradox Interactive Platforms: PC Players: 1 Rated E (Everyone) by the ESRB Throughout my many years playing games on the PC I’ve played quite a lot of titles. I love a game that makes you think and so much of my PC experience has leaned towards titles that fall within the strategy genre, which to me includes city-building, real time strategy, turn based war games and quite a few other “sims”. However let me be frank with you all. I’ve never in my life played a “transportation sim” so keep that in mind while you digest my take on Paradox & Colossal’s new title Cities in Motion. You won’t find any comparisons to Sid Mei…
