How did they know?

  6. "Primary reports seem to be that updating to firmware 3.61 will cause PlayStations to overheat," reads the "answer" to the issue. "There have been various reports of this on a few different games now, all reporting their PS3s turning off or 'Red Lighting' after having installed 3.61." Read the rest, here. Source - [GamePro]

Ninja Gaiden, one of the toughest games to ever grace a console is back and there’s a brutal trailer to prove it. At GDC, Tecmo revealed a teaser trailer that shows a bloody and yellow eyed Ryu, shoving a sword into presumably an enemy and then about to reveal himself when it cuts away to a screen that says, “Unmask E3 2011″. In a gaming world where first person shooters are dominating, Ryu cannot come soon enough. via Joystiq Tweet This Post(for the video, view the article) View the full article

  11. http://www.joystiq.c...ndos-3ds-event/ You can get all the details above, or from another site, but the key questions of price and release date have finally been announced. I'm REALLY hoping that Gamestop will have some sort of trade-in promotion for it. I'd trade in my DSi and maybe a game or two if I could get $100 off.

  12. If you were thinking of buying Nintendo’s 3DS for your child or little brother or sister, you might want to hold off on that. Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime has released quite a few statements saying that Nintendo’s latest DS model which uses 3D technology is not safe for children under the age of 7 who’s eye muscles are still not fully developed and that the 3DS can cause them to have headaches and other symptoms because their eyes will have to strain to make sense of the 3D imagery. In a report by Helium, this announcement made by Fils-Aime might cut Nintendo’s demographic field with the 3DS by 60% considering that the handheld is geared more to children in the 5-10 age …

  14. Bad move, Nintendo. Nintendo is using Youtube's Content ID system to make this happen. The service searches Youtube for video or audio that matches a company's content, and then gives them control over that Youtube submission. “Identify user-uploaded videos comprised entirely OR partially of their content, and choose, in advance, what they want to happen when those videos are found,” the official page states. “Make money from them. Get stats on them. Or block them from YouTube altogether.” So if you're creating a walkthrough or a Let's Play video of a Nintendo game, that video will now be monetized by Nintendo. They make the money from it, not you. Read on http://…

According to IGN, Nintendo will be revealing a new console that is more higher powered than the Xbox 360 and PS3 at this year’s E3. Game Informer is also claiming the same thing by citing mulitple sources and that the new console will be able to run games at HD resolutions. The new console is expected to get a 2012 launch and Nintendo is supposedly hoping that they can bring back third-party developers and “hardcore” fans. Tweet This Post View the full article

  17. The fiscal year ending in March 2011 has proven to be a bloodbath for Nintendo as their loss of earnings has been reported. Nintendo’s shares dropped 66% and according to Joystiq, this marks the third year for profit declines which is not what Nintendo previously predicted. Also reported from Nintendo’s camp is that the previously rumored ”Wii Successor” will be at E3 in the form of a playable model. Nintendo has the new console that is supposedly more powerful than the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 set to launch sometime in 2012. via Nintendo Investors Tweet This Post View the full article

  18. ******. Really ******. Those are the words used by Team Meat’s Edmund McMillen to describe the now not so upcoming Super Meat Boy for Wiiware. “There is no way to avoid the fact that if we released a 40MB version of Super Meat Boy it would be a **** version of the game, It’s a lose lose situation, but the fact of the matter is if we release a ****** game, we will have to live with that for the rest of our careers and have to cop to the fact that it is a ****** game.” Team Meat also said that a retail version of Super Meat Boy for the Wii is probably not going to happen either. Sounds like you Wii owners are SOL. via IGN View the full article
