PS3 owners are outraged over the recent patch that was put out for Call of Duty Black Ops which was suppose to improve the problems that gamers were having connecting to mulitplayer matches. Instead, the patch which went out on Monday has made the problems much worse and PS3 owners want the game fixed and they want it fixed now. Found by Eurogamer on the official website for Call of Duty Black Ops is a thread that was started in the forum for the PS3 version that has been named, “the retard 1.04 patch“. The majority of the complaints seem to be that since this patch was released, the multiplayer is pretty much unplayable with the game freezing within 5 minutes and some …

I'm going to try and make this short, but I feel like ranting a little bit. I cannot understand why keyboards and mice aren't supported better on consoles. I found myself playing Halo Reach last night, and I love the game. Also, despite my horrific ability in FPS with a controller I was attempting Legendary. I'm only about 2 chapters into it and at the going rate I don't think I am going to be able to do it without becoming way too frustrated. I just don't have the coordination to keep up with some of the enemies with a controller. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I would be awesome with a mouse and keyboard, but I would at least have an enjoyable chance tryin…

Well, I decided I don't want to have to download my steam games every time I want to play them, and I like to have copies stored locally anyhow. So I started the process of downloading and then backing them up. Man I wish I would have done this one at a time and sooner. So far I have 55,233.2MB downloaded and I'm not even 1/2 way done. Gonna be a long process, but worth it.

Bing just got served a piece of its own Scroogle pie, after an independent study found that Microsoft’s search engine delivers malware-infested websites in its results at nearly five times the rate of Google. Researchers at the AV-Test security institute in Germany spent 18 months investigating more than 40 million websites delivered as search engine results in order to gauge which search sites include pages infected by malware or phishing attacks. Its findings [PDF] are flattering for Google, but not so much for Bing. According to the study, out of 20 million websites provided by Google and Bing in equal part, 272 Google results contained malware, while Bing delivere…

Talk about your qwik turnaround. Netflix CEO Reed Hastings announced this morning that Netflix will not be splitting into two separate services as planned. The news comes less than a month after the company's stock went into freefall following its announced split into disc-based and streaming entities named Qwikster and Netflix, respectively. "It is clear that for many of our members two websites would make things more difficult, so we are going to keep Netflix as one place to go for streaming and DVD," Hasting wrote on the company's official blog this morning. "This means no change: one website, one account, one password... in other words, no Qwikster." Read the rest in …

Riots, fires, etc. I remember when I lived in the East Bay and the A's swept the SF Giants. There weren't any riots. Just parades with broomsticks (swept the series). Now we have dumbasses stacking recycling bins, couches, cars, etc and lighting them on fire in the streets. Retarded. Your team won, which is a good thing, and you go and show your support by doing terrible things. Makes so much sense.

The mystery deepens as EA continues to taunt Assassin’s Creed fans by releasing small images on Assassin’s Creed official Facebook page that flash symbols, numbers, and show what appears to Altair. The latest reveal which appeared yesterday shows fans an assassin that appears to look like Altair. When the image starts to turn fuzzy glimpes of a double headed eagle carrying a sword and shield appear making some wonder in the comment section of the Facebook page if this game will feature two assassins instead of just one. The first two reveals have also led gamers to question if the game will be set in Istanbul, why Ezio’s birthday appears in the second reveal, and if the…

Harold Ramis has sadly passed away at the young age of 69 after complications from an autoimmune disorder. Sad news indeed. The director/actor was attached to such movies as Ghostbusters, Caddyshack, National Lampoons Vacation, Stripes, Groundhog Day, and many, many others.

This is so fucking sad. Not only did he post about it, but he seriously put a picture up on his wall of her dead body. He claims that she had been punching him and that he wasn't going to take the abuse anymore. A 10 year old child was also in the home (safe) when police arrived. Link to story His Facebook page has been deleted, but some sick bastards have been re-uploaded her dead body picture to imgur. Stuff like this makes me sad for humanity. Not only that, but of course this is in Florida. Why does all the bad stuff seem to happen there lately?

How many of you use dropbox? For those who don't know, it's a place where you can upload any file. You have 2GB of space to start with but you can earn up to 10GB if you have people sign up and install the program. I've been using it recently to transfer letters that I've written in Microsoft Word to get them on my laptop so I could print them out. I love this service so much, also having an application for it on the iPhone is handy!!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/digitaltrends/nasascientistfindsevidenceofalienlife "“The exciting thing is that they are in many cases recognizable and can be associated very closely with the generic species here on earth,” said Hoover. Some of the fossils, however, are quite odd. “There are some that are just very strange and don’t look like anything that I’ve been able to identify, and I’ve shown them to many other experts that have also come up stump.”" “Given the controversial nature of his discovery, we have invited 100 experts and have issued a general invitation to over 5,000 scientists from the scientific community to review the paper and to offer their critical analysi…
