April 13, 201115 yr comment_34653 Any bailout is a bad idea IMO, and no company is "to big to fail". Sometimes when it hurts a little we remember hey lets not do it that way. When there is no consequence to the action that to me is the biggest issue. Report
April 13, 201115 yr comment_34655 i didn't read the whole article, but i didn't really need to. our government makes me want to vomit. last election, i voted against incumbants, regardless of party. we gotta flush this toilet. Report
April 13, 201115 yr comment_34656 While I'm sure we agree on many things MWB, I just want to remind you and everyone else what PK said. Let's keep this non-partisan and not try to get political about this topic. (Which I admit is difficult given the subject here) Report

April 13, 201115 yr comment_34661 Unfortunately, these two debts will become one and the same. I may type up a more thorough response later, but essentially the Fed will unconstitutionally roll over the debt it owes (due to its poor decisions) into the treasury and thus make it a part of the National debt. This is unconstitutional because only Congress can set the budget, which does not account for the trillions of dollars the Fed would pour into the system due to Bernanke's failed policies.THIS is also an interesting article describing how higher education is the latest bubble. My economics professor discussed this in my class last week. He basically told the entire class that they were being scammed and that it wasn't even within his best interests to tell them because he was reaping the benefits of it. But tuition rates have consistently grown much larger than they should have (~7% annually). Any younger forum users about to go or are in college should read this article. Report

April 13, 201115 yr comment_34672 Nice read TK, but my rant on the higher education system probably belongs in another thread. Report
