Was looking around a bit. Was wondering what you guys think of these setups, if any you'd recommend. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229362&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-Desktop+PCs-_-N82E16883229362&gclid=CITvt6qgsLYCFdFT4AodcCYAkg http://www.bestbuy.com/site/CyberPowerPC+-+Gamer+Ultra+Desktop+-+8GB+Memory+-+1TB+Hard+Drive/6897999.p?id=1218811215113&skuId=6897999&ref=06&loc=01&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=6897999&extensionType={adtype}:{network}&s_kwcid=PTC!pla!{keyword}!{matchtype}!{adwords_producttargetid}!{network}!{ifmobile:M}!{creative} http://www.walmart.com/ip/17811825?wmls…

Google's stated reason for the ban is that the Android app allegedly "interferes with or accesses another service or product in an unauthorized manner." This policy is broad, vague, and arbitrary. It isn't clear yet how far Google is going to go in censoring the Play Store. Are they just going to target ad blockers? Ad blockers are not only useful and extremely popular, but also currently the only way that Internet users can effectively protect themselves against non-consensual third party tracking. Or is Google going to follow the letter of its policy closely, in which case we would expect to see other useful privacy-enhancing technologies blocked from the Play Store, su…

Was looking to purchase a controller to use for PC games. Preferably just one that I could plug in via USB, not very fancy, but would be compatible with or suit me for most games. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Unlocking Cellphones Becomes Illegal Saturday in the U.S. http://mashable.com/2013/01/23/unlocking-cellphones-illegal/

So I finally caved in and ordered a set of wireless Astro A40s, which includes the Astro Wireless Mixamp 5.8 and the Astro A40 headset. The only real difference between it and the newest model, wireless Astro A50s, is that the wireless components are built into the headset of the A50s (the headset itself is the same funcionally and quality-wise), so the A40s are better off in the long run. With the mixamp I can make any stereo headset wireless (plugged into a little transmitter you can pocket or clip on a belt) and surround sound (virtual surround sound from the mixamp; from what I gather the surround sound works on stereo headsets because it involves different tones an…

Think Apple may start to get a taste of their own medicine in court now? http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-57509251-37/u.s-judge-htc-patents-likely-valid-in-apple-suit/ http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/09/12/htc-and-samsung-will-likely-sue-apple-over-iphone-5

So I need some suggestions for a sound card. I bought Astro A30's and would like to use those (this is the big driving force behind it), so it needs Dolby Digital Live. I was looking at the HT Omega Striker 7.1, but that one seems to be either out of stock or discontinued. Also, since my uses are pretty limited, I would like to keep it under $100. As far as I can see, my options are as follows: Asus Xonar DX Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D Wait for the Sound Blaster Z series in December Anybody have any experience with the cards above, or have other suggestions? The one question I have on the Recon3D (other than general sound quality) is if it does auto-mute so when y…

You might of seen this already but this computer looks awesome! Wish it did not say Mass Effect 3 on the glass though which turned out to be my least favorite of the series and not because of the ending! http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7259206&fb_source=message#post7259206 What would be even cooler is a Borderlands Computer Lets build it!

I have prettymuch decided that I want an Android tablet. I have been looking at the new Nexus 7 Tablet, but am somewhat turned off by the idea that there is no sdcard slot. I know a few of you have tablets and am interested in recommendations. Here is what I am looking for: Price Range: $150-$300 GPS: yes MicroSD: yes Memory: ~1GB Processor: Tegra 2 or Tegra 3 WiFi: yes 3G/4G: no Android Version: 4.0 ICS or 4.1 Jellybean preferred. Good development community for rooting, custom ROMs, etc. Any ideas? Been looking at the Samsung Galaxy series and a few from Asus so far.

So, I know some others have them, and I wanted to see who else did. I just ordered my first one, aside from the stuff I used in my younger years. There's so many more options out there than there was, but it took me forever to decide which I wanted due to the price premium. Might want to read this article before you read much more if you don't know much about mechanical keyboards. I'm currently using this keyboard: http://steelseries.com/products/keyboards/steelseries-merc-stealth It's a good keyboard, but I'm tired of having the shared usage space of the home, pg up, pg dwn, etc keys with the numpad. It doesn't seem inconvenient at first, but after having to press the…

All the ergonomic challenges of sitting at a mass-produced desk should disappear when you settle into the custom-built Emperor 200 -- or at least they better for $45,000. Each scorpion-shaped workstation is hand-built to customer specifications with three monitors, touchscreen control panel, air filtration system, light therapy illumination, and electric powered leather seat. Upon sitting in the Emperor 200, users tap on the touchscreen to lower the monitors and nestle themselves into a computing bubble worthy of a Bond villain. Because each workstation is built to order, MWE labs can customize each installation to handle different computing platforms, even adding periphe…
