Movies and TV

I watched this movie tonight and I really enjoyed it. It was a lot more mature than I was exspecting and Hella fun to watch. I think for me the soundtrack was what sealed the deal for me, it was epic and had a lot of surprise appearances highlighted by john Murphy's "surface of the sun" which I first heard in The film Sunshine. Love that tune! If you like movies like killbill, any super hero movie, tiny bit of superbad, and a lot of john woo check it out.

So, on November 9th we get the DVD/Blu-Ray release of Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. If you haven't seen this one, check it out when it drops. Rent it, Netflix it, buy it, who cares at this point? Just see it. DVD features include: * Four audio commentaries (Director Edgar Wright, Co-writer Michael Bacall and Author Bryan Lee O’Malley; Wright and director of photography Bill Pope; Michael Cera, Jason Schwartzman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ellen Wong and Brandon Routh; and Anna Kendrick, Aubrey Plaza, Kieran Culkin and Mark Webber) * Deleted and alternate scenes with commentary * Bloopers * Photo galleries * A trivia track Blu-ray features all DVD features and includes: * …

Anyone gonna go see it? I really want to but I just remember how the last one sucked (and Shane probably won't take me because of that). The commercials look good though....

Those of you who like me have the beta for xbox live and were bummed to find out your service provider doesn't carry espn3 might be a little happier today. Time Warner Cable is now including ESPN3 in their service! I'm sure other companys will follow suit as well. Personally i like the idea of watching my favorite NCAA teams games, before i could only see them 1-2 times a year, when they'd play a high profile game or one of the teams in the area i live. Enjoy!

If this is real and Eli Roth does actually bring this to theaters, I'll bet Chris will be the first in line for it.

I love John Carpenter movies. One of my personal favorites has always been The Thing. Such a great monster movie. The special effects were insane, and I still get chills to this day when I remember the scene where some dude's stomach turns into a giant mouth with teeth and bites off the doctor's hands. Well they are making a prequel to the original movie. It's going to tell the story of the Norwegians (who we see flying a helicopter at the beginning of the original, shooting crazily at a dog as it runs across the snow, only to be taken in by Kurt Russel and gang). http://io9.com/5654684/first-inside-look-at-the-thing-prequel-shows-why-it-may-be-awesome-after-all It…

Ok, so does anyone watch Glee, or am I the only Gleek here? I love this show, but I tend to like musical type movies and stuff (favorite movie is Grease!!!). This was my favorite episode/skit: It was so funny to see a bunch of football players dancing around to this song.

Watched the premiere tonight. Big Genndy fan. He did Dexters Laboratory, Samurai Jack and Star Wars: Clone Wars.

The Experiment Stars Adrien Brody, Forrest Whitaker, and Clifton Collins Jr. It takes place in a experimental prison setting. For some strange reason some of the movie posters say the movie keeps you guessing, and honestly I have no idea why that is a tag line. There is no guessing involved, no plot twist, it's just a straight forward movie about a group of people playing the roles of prisoners and guards. Just basically a thriller, no real mystery involved. Travis ( Adrian Brody) loses his job. He needs a way to make a large some of money so he can go on a trip to India with his girlfriend. He finds an ad in the local newspaper for test subjects, and he meets the res…

I ran across this site today that shows all the latest "Instant Watch" content from Netflix. It is really helpful for seeing all the new stuff that drops each day, especially with all the latest Universal stuff that has dropped on there since September 1st. Take a look: http://instantwatcher.com/
