Minecraft Alpha Server Backup Utility. ( Should work with Single Player too if you wanted ) Latest Version 3.1 here: http://www.gamercide...ckuppackage.zip Important, Please read! V3.1 has adopted the Direct to Tile version of Overviewer. Support for older versions have been dropped though they can still be used. If you wish to keep the older versions you will need to rename gmap.py or gmap.exe to overviewer.py or overviewer.exe . You will then need to change the overviewer options to comply with the older version. I highly suggest updating to the DTT version as it is much faster and doesn't require the first caching stage. It also allows you to render more than one m…

Whether you love building bricks in real life or in the digital landscapes of Minecraft, this is going to be very good news: Minecraft is officially going to be coming to a LEGO set near you. LEGO approved the idea on Tuesday and will start turning Minecraft objects and items into official LEGO box sets to be sold across the world. The idea didn’t, however, come from LEGO. The Minecraft ideas were pitched to the LEGO through CUUSOO, its homemade platform where users can submit product ideas to the brick manufacturer. Any idea that gains 10,000 votes from the public will be reviewed by LEGO to see if it makes sense as a toy. The good news came back Tuesday that Minecraft w…

Wedding Weekend! Hi everyone! I’m getting married to ez tomorrow, and I thought we’d celebrate by giving one free copy of Minecraft to everyone who buys the game! How does it work, you ask? Well, if you buy a copy of the game (not a gift code), you get a free gift code added to your account. You can see the gift codes you have by going to http://www.minecraft.net/profile/ Tell your spouse/lover/friend/acquaintance/stranger go to http://www.minecraft.net/redeem.jsp and enter the code, and within minutes you’ll both be punching trees and installing texture packs together. Have a great weekend, everybody! Source - http://notch.tumblr.com/post/8829997577/wedding-weekend

Sooooo, apparently Minecraft has been translated into around 56 languages. The devs couldn't really do it themselves, so they relied on the community for a lot of translations. Well in Minecraft's newest version which contains a translation for Afrikaans, the language spoken by Namibians and South Africans, players were greeted with an especially NOT COOL main menu upon switching languages. I'm putting this in spoilers to avoid any problems. So yeah, some community member who did the translation thought this was funny. Jens was NOT amused. https://twitter.com/#!/jeb_/status/162958742214811649

I can't find one for Jason that is compatible with Windows 8 which is what we have. I checked out the Razor ones and the licensed Wow mouses but they are for Windows 7 and below. Suggestions or does it even matter?

notch We won the interim injunction! We can keep using the name "Scrolls". ZeniMax/Bethesda can still appeal the ruling, but I'm very happy. https://twitter.com/#!/notch/status/126196998826242048

Montague's Mount is a first-person rollercoaster ride through isolation, desolation and one man's tortured mind, set against the bleakness of an isolated Irish island. The player regains consciousness on a windswept beach, with no memory of the past. Exploration and puzzle solving are the keys to finding out what happened – and to escaping the island. Polypusher is a one-man studio based in Ireland; the game blends personal experience with realistic landscapes and makes extensive use of the Gaelic language throughout. Montague’s Mount was first shown to the public at Rezzed! in June and an expanded version will be playable at the upcoming Eurogamer Expo show at London’s…

So lately I've been getting back into Oblivion a lot, and even picked up the new Elder Scrolls novel the other day (finished it today). So I've decided I want to get more into the lore of the Elder Scrolls universe, and I keep hearing how fantastic the story of Morrowind is, so what I'm wondering is if Morrowind is really worth the $20 for the storyline and etc. I bought Morrowind quite a while back for the Obox but I just couldn't get into it (mainly due to not being able to hit my enemies ) but I've found some mods on the TESNexus that A: Give Morrowind near Oblivion graphics and B: Make your chance to hit 100%. So what do all you Morrowind players think? Should I pick …

The rivalry between Microsoft's Games For Windows Marketplace platform and Valve's Steam service took an interesting turn today - with MS announcing it is to release Fable 3 over both distribution channels. The Lionhead title will be available for pre-order on both platforms from April 21. Perhaps predictably, there is an incentive to buy from GFWM. Those who buy from Microsoft's service will receive 'Fable: Lost Chapters' - the start of the Fable saga - for free. Meanwhile, those who purchase on Steam will receive the Rebel's Weapon & Tattoo Pack - a collection of four exclusive weapons and five exclusive tattoo sets. A Microsoft statement released earlier adds that:…

I had written a review to this game for my own website. So I'll just format it for the forum for you guys to read. I wont add all the fancy stuff I put in to it. I'll just copy the base review. I am simply in awe with this game. First and foremost. I have been a fan of the TR franchise ever since I was a little girl. I watched my dad play the originals, and I remember long afternoons of him playing while my mom sat and told him cheat codes and hints from player guides and the limited information the web could give us back in the 90′s. I’ve tried to sit and play the games and I have not finished one. I know what kind of fan am I? But I will one day conquer them all I…
