Explanation: Is this an alien? Probably not, but of all the animals on Earth, the tardigrade might be the best candidate. That's because tardigrades are known to be able to go for decades without food or water, to survive temperatures from near absolute zero to well above the boiling point of water, to survive pressures from near zero to well above that on ocean floors, and to survive direct exposure to dangerous radiations. The far-ranging survivability of these extremophiles was tested in 2011 outside an orbiting space shuttle. Tardigrades are so durable partly because they can repair their own DNA and reduce their body water content to a few percent. Some of these m…

I know I know. There is faster, but I am excited! I have been waiting on this to get rolling for months! I'm testing it out. I sit here for about 10 minutes each day for two weeks and run speed tests. I get 2 weeks free internet, then an extra month after, and then a $50 credit! To test fast internet! I love it. AND when they go public with it they will be offering a 50meg down, 5meg up! Happy times.

Please take the time to thank a vet today if you can or at least think about what they have done for you, including the men and women who are currently serving including current members here who we don't get to talk to much anymore. All of these men and women at one point wrote a blank check out to uncle sam and were and are willing to sacrifice everything for strangers and those they do know.

Simple concept really. Post things that you hate (pet peeves, etc.) and post things that you love/like/find enjoyable. Just a little thread for some baseless fun. No need to post both topics if you don't want to. I hate when technology doesn't cooperate. I love the band August Burns Red at the moment.

  10. Hoooooooooooo boy! I can't believe that this is an ACTUAL transcript from a court down in Georgia. It's worth reading through. I laughed quite a few times. Honestly I can't believe the judge is still on the bench with the things he says. I don't think a judge is supposed to encourage you to whip out your penis and jack off in court hahahaha. (I don't know how to embed Imgur stuff!) Side notes: Apparently this is the judge Also, this is the Defendant (He was on trial for beating someone to death while he was already in jail I think) This whole thing needs to be made into a movie!!!! hahahah…

Now there's a mouthful. Built around 100-150 B.C., it was discovered off the Greek Island of Antikythera on an ancient shipwreck found by sponge divers at the dawn of the 20th century. Only recently have we had the technology to penetrate through the thick, rocky encrustation of coral and ocean bicarbonate deposited over the millennia without damaging it. Using 21st-century technology to peer beneath the surface of the encrusted gearwheels, stunned scientists say the so-called Antikythera Mechanism could predict the ballet of the Sun and Moon over decades and calculate a lunar anomaly that would bedevil Isaac Newton himself. -Cosmos Magazine 31 different moving gears wit…

When the Diamond & Pearl series of the Pokemon anime comes to a close later this year in Japan, we'll also be saying goodbye to the entire original cast, according to Japanese site Gigazine. I'm trying to keep it together here, but this is like the end of an era for Pokemon fans or anyone who grew up watching the show after school. I just saw a brief glimpse of the story on cnn about the guy that claims he was part if the srals who took out osama, and apparently he was lieing. Now they had him on asking him qurstiond on why he lies basically making him look like a douche. Okay here is what gets under my skin shouldnt the media be at fault since they ran the story in the first place? I mean seriously why is this guy even on he was homeless on 911 not in anapolis. The media hears this guy is a seal and automatically prints it as truth THEN find out he is a fraud and berade him. Its just *** backwards to me. If I was that guy I would just laugh because the morons bought it. It was just one of those obv…
