Only two months after Breitbart’s passing, the coroner that investigated the cause of death may have succumbed to arsenic poisoning. Michael Cormier, 61, passed away on April 20, the Los Angeles Times reports this week. I found this article and found it a very interesting read. To summarize, 200 students in a Strategic management class at the University of Central Florida were accused of cheating by their professor since they used online materials (a test bank) provided by the publisher to study and/or cheat on the exam. It is unknown to me if this was publicly available on the website (article seems to claim it was), but reguardless of that, would you consider this a form of cheating? Is the professor right in the action that he is taking? I've been spending the majority of my time with my PS3 lately and it looks like it's going to stay that way for a while. I've done pretty good sticking to a budget and not buying any new games and waiting till their on sale, but the beginning of 2011 is going to change that. The games I'm going to pick up (likely on release day) will be Dead Space 2 for PS3 (it comes with a copy of D.S. Extraction), Killzone 3 (my favorite FPS series) and the minding blowing awesome/cutest game ever Little Big Planet 2!! Seriously, I can't stand the direction game design is headed these days. It started with achievements and DLC, piecing out games and letting the consumers be public beta testers for patches and extra paid content, then kept getting worse with every game having you do dumb RPG nonsense like do X Y times to get Z. Experience points, unlocks, ranks, collectibles. In Assassin's Creed III they have bonus objectives for every mission that I stopped caring about (do all that nonsense just to unlock an Altair skin, nothing that special), but there was no way to stop the game telling me I failed the objective every two goddam seconds. I was looking around the blizzard forums the other day and came across this thread in one of the more recent topics created. While as of now WoW is the only game that I know of that this is effected by I thought it could be interesting to see what everyone else thought of it and how they would react to it if this were done to one of your games.
