  1. For those of you looking to purchase the first set of Mass Effect 2 detailed little miniatures, you will be waiting a bit longer. The first series of Mass Effect 2 look alikes that are being made by DC Direct were originally suppose to be delivered to stores in August 2010. That shipment was delayed and the figures were then given a new date of February 2011. Now it does not look like that is not going to be happening and Mass Effect 2 creator Bioware is not happy with how DC Direct is handling the situation and it appears that the second series of figures that DC Direct were also suppose to create has disappeared off of their website. “On the ME2 Action Figures it look…

  2. Source; Cnet.com After reading this article I have to agree with the opinions of the analysts. I've seen the smartphone and the tablet take a huge step forward as far as usability and transportability. It's much more prevalent in the ARMY now as well, with everyone in my company having a smartphone or tablet that they use for their daily operations. It used to be pen and paper they carried around. Now, whenever my platoon sergeant has some info to put out to the platoon, he pulls his iPhone out to read the notes he took during his meeting with the higher up staff. I find myself using my iPhone for many things as well, such as writing down maintenance notes or downloading …

The half live action trailer for Homefront that made it’s appearance at GDC 2011 is full of explosions, bullets, and a creepy baby nursery rhyme. <br> <center><iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/SVZlIbBTlDs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></center> <br> via Tweet This Post View the full article

  8. This is interesting. Only thing is, why the limitation? Nintendo recently said that the 3DS is going to use flash carts capable of holding up to EIGHT GIGS. LoL Sure, most games on the 3DS wont use the full 8, but why the limit? It's strange. On a side note, it's said that the cards will be writable so instead of internal storage your saved games and patches will write directly to the game cart. Pretty cool.

  9. For those of you who cannot get enough of your Xbox Live representation of yourself via your XBL avatar, Microsoft has made it possible for you to never have to lose sight of your little mini me. 11. As part of the Game Developer's Conference celebrations in San Francisco this week, publisher THQ decided to unleash a wave of balloons advertising its upcoming shooter, Homefront. Unfortunately, some S.F. natives were not particularly pleased about the stunt, especially once the balloons started landing in the San Francisco Bay. CNET reports that many people upset about the balloons polluting the Bay (as pictured above) mistakenly aimed their anger at retailer GameStop, whose logo also appeared on the balloons. GameStop provided the following response: "We understand the concerns consumers have regarding the impact balloons can have on the environment. However, the ball…

  13. Late February Australia struck down another video game from being sold in their country due to the violence in the game. This time it was NetherRealm’s and Warner Bros’s bloody good fighting game, Mortal Kombat. The reason for the ban involved a series staple, the fatalities. The Australian Classification Board which refused to rate the game said, “……The game includes over 60 fatalities (some of which are noted above) which contain explicit depictions of dismemberment, decapitation, disembowelment and other brutal forms of slaughter. Despite the exaggerated conceptual nature of the fatalities and their context within a fighting game set in a fantasy realm,…

You can pick this up on the Genesis, Dreamcast Virtual Console or the (recommended) Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection 360/PS3 for around $20.00. So, here’s a sleeper many of you may have never played, created by Hiroyuki Takahasi who went on to design such games as Golden sun and 3 other titles in the Shining series, the second in the Shining series and my personal favorite, Shining Force released for the Genesis/Mega Drive in 1992 in Japan and 1993 state side. And while yes there have been several other games in the Shining series spanning many different consoles, Shining Force was at the time only the second game I had played in the franchise. And it soon and forever…

  15. There is one hyphenated word that truly arouses mixed reactions from gamers around the world.Cross-Platform. Can't we all just play along? Unless you’ve been living under a rock this past decade, you’d recognize the term and possibly have even experienced some early attempts at cross-platform titles like Shadowrun for the PC/Xbox 360. Even Valve’s upcoming release of Portal 2 promises to connect users of the Playstation Network up against PC players gaming on Steam. Cross-platform titles are essentially games that you can play online one system against users on a completely different console. What is the limit of gaming interconnectivity? We’ve seen what can happe…

Rumors have been swirling since the findmakarov.com countdown appeared. Fans of the shooter wondered if this was sign that their beloved franchise was going to be announcing Modern Warfare 3. Those rumors can be put to rest now, because the countdown is over and the reveal is a live action film made by a viral advertising company out of Canada who wanted to show Activision that their profitable series could be made into a movie. I figured this was the most appropriate place to post an older game review, depanding on the reception I'll probably write some more. Either way, enjoy my review of Need for Speed: Most Wanted, for the Gamecube For years I had played the Need for Speed series, waiting for the day that the good ol’ people at EA would create (in my opinion) a better Need for Speed than the 2nd on the original Playstation. Well that day almost came in the form of Need for Speed: Most Wanted. While I’m sure many will say my view of Most Wanted is jaded by the graphical short coming on the cube, I really couldn't have cared much about how the game looked compared to other systems of it's time…

Ninja Gaiden, one of the toughest games to ever grace a console is back and there’s a brutal trailer to prove it. At GDC, Tecmo revealed a teaser trailer that shows a bloody and yellow eyed Ryu, shoving a sword into presumably an enemy and then about to reveal himself when it cuts away to a screen that says, “Unmask E3 2011″. In a gaming world where first person shooters are dominating, Ryu cannot come soon enough. via Joystiq Tweet This Post(for the video, view the article) View the full article
