  2. Nothing beats a kick in the scrotum to start your day. Ex Darksiders 2 Senior UI Designer, Xander Davis has said in an interview with Not Enough Shaders that Nintendo’s upcoming console the Wii U is “$400 Xbox 360 seven years late.” “I’ve not worked on any Wii U version of anything (luckily). But, y’know, I very early on raised my major concern about this. Anybody buying any Wii U game that’s a port is probably buying it almost exclusively and specifically for how it can play differently through the Wii U’s alleged innovated UI. I’m already a known skeptic on whether the interface paradigm is at all anything but idiotic. But if you’re gonna do it? Fine. Then, you H…

  4. The Producer behind Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, David Cox has announced on Twitter that the followup to 2010′s Castlevania: LOS will indeed be releasing on the PC. Castlevania: LOS was only released on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The details on the sequel are unknown except for a tiny tidbit of information that Konami revealed at this year’s E3. (If you have yet to play the Castlevania: LOS or beat it, you might want to skip this part) Gabriel is back as Dracula and the Belmont family is out for his blood. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is expected to release on the PC, PS3, and 360 next year. Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

  5. Gamescom 2012 decided to give gamers a heart attack everywhere when it posted Half Life 3 as a game that was supposed to be announced at the venue. Organizers of the show have spoken directly to Eurogamer and said that it was a “mistake”. Also on that list of games that included another “mistake” was Dragon Age 3. Eurogamer did ask three times why both of the games were mentioned and are now a “mistake”, however the people behind Gamescom did not give an answer. Was it really a mistake on the part of an employee behind the scenes or was Half Life 3 suppose to be announced but Valve changed their plans? Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

  6. For those of you who will be missing those fun and fast paced Wager Matches of Call of Duty: Black Ops you can relax, well sort of. Treyarch has confirmed that “fun game modes” will be available in Black Ops 2. Speaking to NowGamer, Treyarch Game Design Director David Vonderhaar said that “In Black Ops they were called Wager Matches, and there was the ‘gambling’ component. But those somewhat oddball, out-of-context, just kind of fun game modes are actually going to make a fairly significant return in Black Ops 2, as what we call Party Games”. Let’s just hope that they aren’t taking the term “oddball” to seriously. Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full arti…

The BitBag is reporting that Hideo Kojima may have possibly been hinting about another entry into the Silent Hill series. BitBag spied the two questionable tweets, “Silent Hill” movie that I borrowed from Murashu as the next sequel is coming out. It would be a scary game if we make Silent Hill game on FOX engine.?(?_?” and “Silent Hill” is in closed room setting and doesn’t require full action so that we can focus on the graphic quality. Enemy doesn’t have to be a lot or move fast. It only requires scariness by graphics and presentation. As being a creator making action game in open world, such game is very enviously attractive. Wish someone could create this on FOX engin…

    1. What’s the story behind your gamertag? It’s actually quite a complicated story. Bacon when I first got Xbox Live, I was bwler263, which is what most people here first knew me as. I soon outgrew that gamertag, and became CivilizedBacon. Yes, I do love bacon so I didn’t hesitate in making that my tag. AFter a while with that as my gamertag, I was tired of having it as something so long, so I changed my name to Sabaid, which means fight is Scottish Gaelic. I was bored of that, so I finally switched to Bacon v3 a few years back. It’s v3 because it’s my 3rd iteration of my newer gamertags, and I kept around my love of bacon. I told you it was complicated. 2. What game are …

Game Politics is reporting that video games sales saw a decent sales decrease of 20% during the month of July. This has been the eighth consecutive drop since November 2011. One console did manage to make a buck during the month of July. The Xbox 360 remained on top of the console market for the 19th consecutive month moving 230,000 units. Both Nintendo and Sony did not release figures for the month of July. Is this decrease in sales another sign of economic times taking a toll on the gaming industry or just the long summer video game drought that gamers face in the rather boring summer months? An update for Netflix on the Xbox 360 rolled out yesterday adding a new section that is “Just For Kids”. This new update is perfect for a family with small children who are looking for more family friendly oriented television shows and movies. The “Just For Kids” section not only seperates Netflix’s standard movie and television genres, but also allows the user to search by characters which can be found without having to type in the character’s name and is located on the main area of the new section. This feature makes it easy for young children who cannot read yet to shout out the names of their favorite characters that they want to watch. Case in point, my living roo…

  11. An example of parenting skills at their finest. A mother was forced to call an ambulance after her 15 year old son collapsed from a possbile four to five day Modern Warfare 3 marathon on his Xbox 360. Speaking to NBC4 news out of Columbus, Ohio, Jessie Rawlins mother of 15 year old Tyler Rawlins said that her son emerged from his bedroom after a possible four to five day continous gaming session looking pale and his lips appeared to turn blue. “I was very scared. Ubisoft Annecy’s multiplayer game director Damien Kieken confirmed the news that there will be no multiplayer beta for Assassin’s Creed 3 claiming that Ubisoft would rather spend time perfecting the game, then putting out a time consuming beta. “To be honest, it’s something we want to do every year because we get community feedback that helps us tune the game. It is also a good reward for the community that has followed us from the beginning. But doing a beta takes a lot of time; we’d need to polish a version, submit it to the platform holders and support it when it’s out. And all the time put into the beta doesn’t go into the final game. Because we wanted to push so many…

The Anime/Drama video app was made available on last Tuesdays update, but if you didn’t notice it’s understandable. At the time you had to navigate to the PS3 store and wait for the little logo to pop up in one of the rolling ads that slowly switch out on the store’s front page. After downloading the app, Crunchyroll appears in the same video section with the likes of Netflix and Hulu. It’s similar to those as well with a few exceptions. First it has more quantity and quality than both in the Anime and Drama genres, as well as having current running shows updated up to an hour after they air in Japan. From standout Dramas like My Lovely Sam-Soon, Prince’s First Love, One …

  14. Resident Evil 6, meet boobies. Boobies, meet Resident Evil 6. Capcom has made a questionable decision with putting full fledge frontal nudity minus genitalia in their new entry into the long running Resident Evil horror series with Resident Evil 6. The nakedness has been introduced in the form of a female spider boss who according to CVG will straddle your character and caress her breasts all while you hear the words fuck and shit being yelled in the background. Before you even ask, yes that is Ada in the video and yes you get to play as her in the campaign. Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

Zuma's Revenge for Xbox Live Arcade Developer/Publisher: PopCap Games Genre: Puzzle, Adventure Price: 800 MSP Online: None, except leaderboards and score challenge mode Zuma's Revenge is a puzzle game first and foremost. I played the first Zuma game a while back, maybe one or two levels in the demo, and I'm pretty sure I was turned off by it immediately. I am not big on puzzle games, never have been, though I was a sucker for a couple of the old school puzzle games, such as Tetris and Dr. Mario, and this game is very similar to it, albeit 20 years after those games came out, it's the same premise. There's not much room for evolution of the match-the-colour puzzle game, b…

  17. A few days ago, Vivendi made the announcement that they were interested in selling their 60% of Activision-Blizzard shares for $8.1 million dollars and of course the internet lit up with rumors as to who was interested in buying the company. Thoes rumors include industry giant Microsoft and that they are in discussion with Vivendi to make that very special purchase that would not only impact the future of Microsoft’s Xbox franchise, but also Sony’s Playstation brand. What would this mean for Sony if Microsoft were to go through with their rumored purchase? Sony could be saying “buh-bye” to seeing a Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, James Bond, or Crash Bandicoot (just to name…

  19. While Ubisoft has kept mum on a specific release date for their recently E3 2012 unveiled Splinter Cell: Blacklist, it appears that Amazon UK has spilled the beans for them. A keen eye over at VideoGamer spied the next entry into the series on the Amazon UK website with a release date of March 29th, 2013. Ubisoft has only mentioned Spring 2013 which falls in line with the now rumored March 29th release date. Also appearing in the ad for the game was the “Upper Echelon” Limited Edition version of the game that comes with loads of extra content including different armor, goggles that actually shine gold, a bonus mission, and a map that showcases all of the conflicted zon…

  20. The crazy train is speeding by on your Monday morning and your conductor for the day is Peter “reeks of nothing but creativity” Molyneux. Molyneux who departed Microsoft in March 2012 has never spoken about the reasons behind his departure until now. Well sort of. Molyneux recently admitted in an interview with european PC and indie game show Rezzie that one of the reasons he left Microsoft was because of a parody Twitter account that pokes fun at Molyneux’s over excited nature, named Peter Molydeux. “…I tell you one thing: he’s far funnier, far more daring and far more engaging than I will ever be. He just comes up with an endless supply of amazing and incredible idea…

  21. Like a politician, Square Enix has flopped their opinion of a Final Fantasy VII remake and instead they are now stating that they a Final Fantasy VII remake will happen when another Final Fantasy title can exceed the quality of Final Fantasy VII. I personally can think of one Final Fantasy that has already done that a long ago, but that’s beside the point. This announcement comes one month after Square said that a Final Fantasy VII “is not a priority” and that “new titles take precedence” despite the fact that a Final Fantasy X HD remake was confirmed back in 2011′s Tokyo Game Show. I believe someone needs to cast Esuna on Square Enix because they are completely blind…

  24. It’s only Tuesday and the rumor mill is already going strong with rumors coming from Nintendo and Microsoft’s camps. E3 2012 came to a close a couple weeks ago and Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo each had their underwhelming and rather dull showcases for the upcoming year, but is there a reason why? More so on Nintendo’s side? According to european website Non Specific Action, an insider claims that Nintendo held back during this year’s E3 and that they had two huge Wii U games to announce, but decided at the last minute to hold off on those announcements, because they didn’t want to take the buzz surrounding their upcoming console to jump ship to these new games. Both o…

  25. Why in the world would a director of a highly anticipated game say, “20 per cent of the players will see the last level of the game. It’s horrible to know. It makes the people working on it really really sad,”. I have no clue why, but Hitman: Absolution’s director Tore Blystad made this rather idiotic remark in a recent interview with the Official Playstation Magazine. To Blystad’s credit he did say that game was made for people who want to go back and replay it. If you are going off of a 20% finish rating, how in all of the Agent 47 fiber wire gaming goodness is there going to be any replay value? Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article
