Movies and TV

I went and saw this yesterday. Yes it is funny to think that it's like Rock em Sock em Robots: the Movie, but it was actually pretty good, I liked it. Decent action, and a bit of drama with Hugh Jackman's character's struggling relationship with his son. Almost sort of a tearjerker in some scenes. Any one else watch it yet?

Went and saw the new Red Dawn today, and have to say. Man what a bummer. The start of the movie gave me such hope and by 30 min in all i could think was wow this kid needs some shampoo and this is gota be the first girl whos ever given him some a@#. The story is like homeland where it the Norh Koreans who invade with Russian help. Thor( the actor who plays him) does a good job but after that the cast sinks badly. If anything i have to say wait for the DVD to hit red box

"The hopes and dreams of four ambitious people are shattered when their drug addictions begin spiraling out of control" Another movie that I watched today. Really left me feeling empty and sad.

I haven't been a huge fan of this series. I'll see this because I've seen the others and sort of want to see where Alice's story goes when she tries to take down Umbrella. Take a look at the teaser:

Watched the new Resident Evil: Retribution in 3D and Imax. The effects were awesome and as always the action scenes are pretty great. Plot wise...not so sure. I'm not well versed in the video games so I feel I can't make an accurate comment on the plot. Thoughts, likes, dislikes on the movies or games or boths?

I went to see this today, and I have to say I loved it! Much better than the last Star Wars film continuing the story. There was a few scenes too close to Uncanny Valley territory due to bringing back some original faces, but overall it was a fantastic movie. Bit slow to start, but turned out to be a very great movie in the Star Wars universe.

So I'm watching the series with Karen on Netflix instant streaming and we're both now HUGE fans. Sanctuary, for the uninitiatiated, is a SciFi (I refuse to say SyFy) series where the main characters run and work for a refuge for "abnormals". Any type of person/animal/thing that's different from your ruyn of the mill human. (telepaths, elementals, werewolves, vampires, etc.) It's got some great spins on the classic Sci-Fi and fantasy tropes and there are TONS of nods and winks to audience that it's geared for. So, my question: Anyone else watching? Anyone else a fan?
