Riddick (previously known as The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking) is an upcoming science fiction action film, the third installment in the The Chronicles of Riddick film series. Produced by and starring Vin Diesel as the title character, Riddick is written and directed by David Twohy, who already wrote and directed the two previous installments, Pitch Black (2000) and The Chronicles of Riddick (2004).

Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.

Wait, is this a reboot with the same main character? I'm confused.  At the end of the last movie he was the ruler of the, umm, whatever the crazy powerful race was.

Riddick is completely badass, I'll definitely want to see this.  Awesome movies and an awesome game (Escape from Butcher Bay).

I love him and his nose, I'd see it. Riddick was awesome.

Huh.  Who knew Vin could do anything other than Fast and the Furious any more.  Riddick films were hit and miss.  Hopefully this will be more hit than miss.

Im with Dat...he was ruler of the Necromongers at the end of the last one and they had was the last furyan....im so confused

From what I've read, a deal with Vaako goes bad and he is left for dead on an alien planet. So killer aliens and assassins are after him. That's where things start in the trailer and he backstory is told in flashbacks.

Interesting. I swear this is a very similar sounding plot to Pitch Black.

Still want to see it, but I have no idea where it's suppose to fall in the story line. No matter.

From what I hear it seems to be a direct sequel to The Chronicles of RIddick, advancing the timeline.

I recently played all of the games and watched all of the movies.  The series is awesome, so I'm definitely excited to see this.

lol, so he makes Super Overlord supreme and then gets cast out.

If you remember the last movie, it's the Necromonger way.  Every moment someone is looking to take out the leader and take charge.  "You keep what you kill."

Right, but you have to kill them.
