German news site Boerse-Express is reporting that the publisher has failed to recapitalize its way out of crushing debt. For all intents and purposes, the company would now appear to be toast. JoWood had been granted a stay of execution by a Vienna court in January as it tried to find new investors to inject cash into the ailing company. The two investors that looked most likely to save the publisher have both pulled out, and the huge amount of debt incurred by JoWood in previous years and a disastrously unprofitable 2010 looks to be insurmountable. The standard bankruptcy filing the company is now in could result in individual properties being sold off to pay back its cr…

Been playing this after seeing ad on Facebook for past few days. Seems fun, its free but you can spend money on game coins. So far I've not needed to but am still in beginner time. Its not something I'd spend money on TBH but it is fun enough to kill time.

Interesting read. Not a released title, so maybe those few things will get the polish they need. http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/05/06/how-deus-ex-human-revolution-feels-on-pc/

Does anyone here still have it, let alone play it? My new laptop is actually able to play games, and Diablo is one of my favorite of all time, so I'm probably gonna pick it up. So, does anyone have it and will be willing to play online at all?

The rivalry between Microsoft's Games For Windows Marketplace platform and Valve's Steam service took an interesting turn today - with MS announcing it is to release Fable 3 over both distribution channels. The Lionhead title will be available for pre-order on both platforms from April 21. Perhaps predictably, there is an incentive to buy from GFWM. Those who buy from Microsoft's service will receive 'Fable: Lost Chapters' - the start of the Fable saga - for free. Meanwhile, those who purchase on Steam will receive the Rebel's Weapon & Tattoo Pack - a collection of four exclusive weapons and five exclusive tattoo sets. A Microsoft statement released earlier adds that:…

I asked a few of you this already, but decided to post it and see if anyone had any ideas. I'm looking for a game similar to Deadly Premonition. Not really the story, the quirkiness, but more along the lines of a third person Japanese adventure type game. Just some sort of rare game with side things you can do, creative story etc. I've already played Longest Journey Sequel and that was pretty similar to what I'm looking for. It doesn't even really have to be an Asian, it can be western. I'm just tired of shooters and I don't have the energy for an rpg. I loved Deadly Premonition and was one of my favorite games. So if anyone knows anything similar let me know.

Paradox Interactive and Arrowhead Studios have heard the rallying cry from Magicka veterans everywhere: Players want the chance to be killed by endless hordes of monsters, and not just by their comrades. That chance has finally arrived, with a pair of new, Challenge Maps soon available for download and play in Magicka, the Game Which Punishes Typos with Swift Explosive Death™. These maps will be released on April 26th, one of which will be offered without requiring so much as a single potato. Players will soon be able to punish themselves by attempting the Caverns and Marshlands maps, each featuring a different swarm of terrible creatures with an appetite for your face. W…

The game has so many cool combos, that I kinda get a bit lost in how much more potential there is within the spells than what I've already discovered. Is there anything particularly brilliant any of you would want to share in terms of sweet tactics? I mean i've done hte adventure so i'm just doing challenge mode most of the time now. I find slamming down arcande bombs and telporting out of it can be quite fun. I haven't got any good tactics though, it is kinda just makeshift spell throwing for me to get out of tight spots. I found thunderstorm to be insanely desctructive but i can't stop it from killing me lol. sheild or no sheild. Thing is powerful! Do many of you use t…
