It might be a little early for April Fool’s day jokes, but Sony has already pulled a fast one on gamers looking to pick up the PSP Go. On Thursday, Sony dropped the price of their PSP Go from $199.99 to $149.99. Today in a rather strange move, Sony took the price cut back and has returned the price of the PSP Go back to $199.99. Sony has not released any statements regarding the price cut and the price jump. (Thanks Chris!) via Gizomodo and Slash Gear Tweet This Post View the full article

Typically Sony is known to advertise ahead of time, usually around the Thursday beforehand, what new games are being added the the IGC (Instant Game Collection) for PS+ subscribers. March was anything but the typical month however. Last week sites like Gamespot began reporting the intial delay in announcement of the free titles, with Sony's Fred Dutton responding, "I appreciate you're all really keen to see the line-up and that it's frustrating having to hang on a bit longer than usual. Alas, we're still not quite ready to make the announcement. I can't give you a firm time at present as to when the post will go live, but we're working to get it to you as soon as possi…

From http://news.cnet.com/8301-31021_3-20060227-260.html A group of hackers says it is planning another wave of cyberattacks against Sony in retaliation for its handling of the PlayStation Network breach. An observer of the Internet Relay Chat channel used by the hackers told CNET today that a third major attack is planned this weekend against Sony's Web site. The people involved plan to publicize all or some of the information they are able to copy from Sony's servers, which could include customer names, credit card numbers, and addresses, according to the source. The hackers claim they currently have access to some of Sony's servers. Should the planned attack succeed,…

This is interesting. Only thing is, why the limitation? Nintendo recently said that the 3DS is going to use flash carts capable of holding up to EIGHT GIGS. LoL Sure, most games on the 3DS wont use the full 8, but why the limit? It's strange. On a side note, it's said that the cards will be writable so instead of internal storage your saved games and patches will write directly to the game cart. Pretty cool.

"This was an unprecedented situation," he told reporters today. "Most of these breaches go unreported by companies. Forty-three percent notify victims within a month. We reported in a week. You're telling me my week wasn't fast enough?" So much for remaining humble. Read the rest, here. Source - [GI] Also, some of the comments on that article are spot on. Sony may want to gauge their fans reactions to all this.

In the next week, the US congress will return to Washington for a bit of work. The first item on the agenda is to debate and pass the Stop Online Piracy Act, or SOPA. SOPA is intended to give media owners the tools to act against those who infringe their copyright in all forms of media, be it audio, video or text. Be it the movie industry, the music industry, the publishing industry, and yes, the games industry. But the legislation is awful, and it affects gamers worldwide. Under SOPA, e-sports is under threat. Game streaming is under threat. In-game voice chat is under threat. In-game text chat could be turned off. Gaming forums are under threat. And the gaming media (us…

I'm not going to be getting my prizes out very soon. I'm having money constraints right now, and I have no idea how much it is going to cost me to ship the stuff. Also, if anyone wants to trade their game because they've already got it, I'm also thinking of getting rid of MW2 and Borderlands (sorry pk!), I'm not thinking of playing either of those games ever again, so if someone wants to trade with one of those games, go ahead.

Square Enix announced plans this past December that Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD would be making an appearance on their PS4 console. Since that time they've been pretty silent on what exactly was the purpose of yet another retail offering would bring, not now they're talking about a May 12th release date for the re-re-release of the re-remastered version. That's a lot of re-re's for the low-low price of $49.99. The company has revealed the newest version of the game will include: Ability to take advantadge of Remote Play with the PS Vita (which is actually pretty awesome)Cross-save compatibility between PS3/PS Vita/PS4 systemsDouble Enhanced textures, because you can't …

“The decision was not up to Starbreeze, and when it was decided to do a sequel we had already started working on a new project,” – via Starbreeze CEO, Mikael Nermark speaking to CVG Starbreeze CEO, Mikael Nermark made that statement to CVG as the studio who developed the first game of Jackie Estacado’s adventure in The Darkness, opened up about not making the sequel, The Darkness II. 2K Games instead chose Digital Extremes who has worked on BioShock, BioShock 2, and various Unreal Tournament games. A bill introduced in the Oklahoma Legislature has some folks scratching their heads, as it prohibits "the manufacture or sale of food or products which use aborted human fetuses." Since the bill was introduced late last week by State Sen. Ralph Shortey, a Republican from Oklahoma City, corners of the Internet have been buzzing with the news, as people try to figure out two things: 1) is this real; and 2) is there any reason the bill might be needed? News of the bill was first reported by the AP and The Daily O'Collegian, a student newspaper at Oklahoma State University. It sparked a lively debate in the O'Collegian's readers' comments section, which is connected to Facebo…
