General Discussion

Here is the last major speech that I did for my speech class, on Wednesday. The topic is Peace Through Violence, how learning violent martial arts like Shou Shu can bring you greater discipline in your behavior. I got a bit nervous in the beginning and had a couple brief pauses to catch my thoughts, but considering that I had memorized the entire speech to perform without my notes (again; despite the teacher's urging that we do the speech extemporaneously from notes), I think I did quite well. Also, here is another demonstration of the aggressive vs. joint lock variation of a technique that I show in the speech:

Been busy. Back now! I wanted to throw a thread up about my skillz as an artist. I work for free and for money. I'd prefer to get paid but I understand financial situations are different each person. So for you lovely folks here at Gamercide I am open for commissions! The information can be found on my personal website I also have a webcomic series running, you are a comic type. The Prophet Of New Haven updates every Monday at midnight. (also please note if it gives you the malware warning. Thats a false positive. The host site is being derpy.) I look forward to working for you!

Like seriously. Ew. You guys suck. HAPPYHOLIDAYS? Gamercide twitch needs a resurrection, yo. WHO'S IN

Okay so I know I should have put this in the 360 or PS3 thread but I've never been one to follow the rules. .. Anyways .. as many of you know I'm Canadian and what that means I like my food covered with Brown Gravy, fries and gravy are an adequate lunch, the best potato chip flavor is Ketchup, I don't know Bob from Saskatchewan or Sue from Newfound Land, I prefer Canadian beer over most other countries, I like my women sexy and American and I like my Rock & Roll from The Tragically Hip ... AND FINALLY .. there is a Tragically Hip song up on Rock Band!!! WOOT WOOT .. it's Blow at High Dough .. and earlier tune but still a good one. Check it out guys!

So Blizzard just announced that they are remaking the entirety of the original Diablo within DIablo III (free patch for those who own Reaper of Souls), and available on both PC and console editions of the game. The full 16 levels of the original Diablo, all the original bosses, optional graphical effects and filters (I imagine a pixilation option to make it seem more retro), and also an 8 directional movement system. Seriously cool. Also, they have announced that they are re-introducing the Necromancer class from Diablo II.

You all know I'm a bit awkward. But since we all just talk online you may not have known that part of it was I don't like to actually touch people. Going to kung fu was part of me trying to get past that, but recently I had an awesome experience at a summer camp/workshop called IGNITE and had some emotional breakthroughs of sorts. It wasn't religious or anything (you know I'm not into that), the camp was motivational in nature ("inspiring today's youth"). I'm honestly really sorry I didn't share any of this sooner since I made some big write ups on Facebook and have been neglecting this place, but I really have been kind of busy lately with life too (work, kung fu, co…

HAVE AN AMAZING BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!

Topic says it all. This was completely shear luck I'm telling you. Random chance. Coy and I had Friday off, her birthday was Thursday but she had to work so we took Friday off together. We have been talking about moving and getting the eff out of this dinky 2 bedroom apartment we've been living in for 7+ years now. The rent is super cheap ($490/mo, utilities are on the town's municpal electric so it's only like $40-$50 a month which is AWESOME) but we're severely cramped. Even though it's a 2 bedroom it's still only about 650sq ft with only 1 bathroom and it's on the second floor. On top of it all it's in thie crappy complex of 4 connected buildings, with this single…

So much recycled content, so little time. Don't get me wrong, I've had a lot of fun playing Call of Duty games in the past, but lately I've lost a lot of interest in them to be honest. They weren't kidding with the whole "war never changes" bit. Did anyone else pick it up? I may check it out when I get a PS4 but definitely not on current gen consoles.

So I've had an idea I've been kicking around for a little while. I still like to write and I think occasionally, maybe once a week, I think I'm going to write up a short and humorous response article just here on the forums to something that irks me that I've read recently on the other major gaming sites or a counterpoint to something I disagree with. I was going to just call it "Chris's Counterpoint", but lately I like the idea of "The Pejorative Panda", because I'm a sarcastic *** and probably will be writing an article that may be a little belittling. That being said I'm looking for some sort of graphic I can pin to the top of my article. I'd save the base image but …

I'm off to WLC (Warrior Leader Course) this Tuesday. I'll be gone about 2 1/2 weeks or so. This is supposed to "further my progression towards a career as a Non-commissioned Officer". We'll see. I see it as 2 weeks off of work with all expenses paid lol. Unfortunately I will not have internet access during this time so no Minecraft for me.

So I was browsing the internet today and came across something I can't even begin to describe. I found it through RockPaperShotgun (a gaming site I sometimes read articles on). I present to you.... Super Barbie Brain Doctor So I played through that, strange enough, but holy shit when I was done playing it up pops something to try out Pregnant Super Barbie Spa So fucking weird hahahaha.

Hey. Sorry for disappearing again guys. At the moment I'm working 27 hours a week and taking 13 college units. I'm not even really gaming at the moment. Other than all that, not much has changed for me, but I figured I should check in. In the Spring I plan on taking another 13 units and after that I should be graduating with three degrees, (English Transfer AA, Liberal Arts AA, and Liberal Studies AA). I'm excited, but I'll still be busy. I also just got a PS4 Pro, so I plan to get a few of the good exclusives that are coming out. I'm still mainly a PC gamer, I think I mentioned I upgraded to the GTX 1080 graphics card before I disappeared. I haven't even played …

OVER $850!!!! Of course this includes things like keyboards, headphones and other random ****. The problem I see is how EA is bundling DLC with literally everything out there which in my opinion leads to watered down games in the long run. I know it's a "business model" and "businesses make money" so we don't need to necessarily go down that road within this thread. How do you feel about the obscene amount of DLC? Discuss.

By Kris Graft - Gamasutra The International Game Developers Association on Friday condemned censorship of video games, as California's long-debated video game law heads to the Supreme Court. "Video games are at the heart of technical and artistic innovation," said IGDA Chair Gordon Bellamy. "Singling out games from other media is not only unconstitutional, according to courts throughout the country, but it also stigmatizes a leading industry in our economy that's embraced by millions in all walks of life." IGDA's condemnation of censorship comes as the U.S. Supreme Court decided to review California's video game bill, which seeks to put age restrictions on the sale of gam…

According to Peter Kafka, writer for All Things Digital plans were finalized over the weekend for a merger between website behemoth IGN and the smaller UGO to form one company. No news on how or if this will have any effect on IGN’s other smaller websites like GameSpy and UGO’s 1up or if there will be any job cuts. via The Escapist Tweet This Post View the full article

Ever since Activision’s announcement of giving Guitar Hero the boot, analysts have not been afraid to let some harsh words fly towards Activision. Speaking to Gamasutra, M2 Research senior analyst Billy Pidgeon said that Activision, “pretty much driven the franchise into the ground with title after title after title.” There is no denying that statement. Countless numbers of Guitar Hero games have been released quicker than two rabbits can go at it during a single night session since the first Guitar Hero released in 2005. According to Eric Handler of MKM Partners, the market for these games just isn’t there anymore. “It had a great run, but it also had a steep fall and…

Apparently the upcoming release of Infamous 2 in Europe is deserving of not one, two, or even three, but four different bundles and of course the purchase of the game seperately, when the game releases in Europe on June 8th and June 10th of this year. The Lenticular Special Edition – “with a powershot of extra digital content including the Electrocution Grenade power, Golden Amp and an exclusive Cole MacGrath skin from inFamous 1″ The Luxury Hero Edition – “complete with Lightning Hook downloadable power, Kessler skin, a Cole MacGrath figurine and inFamous comic from graphic novel legends DC Comics, a replica Cole MacGrath messenger bag and the inFamous 2 digital soundtr…

The drama continues to unfold between Activision and former Infinity Ward employees Jason West and Vince Zampella. EA has now entered into this legal equation after an email surfaced that showcases a possible private deal made between EA, West, and Zampella on delaying “The Stimulus Package” map pack for Modern Warfare 2 when Battlefield Bad Company released. The email from EA’s Lincoln Hershberger that was sent internally throughout EA read, “A couple months ago, I asked Vince to hold back their map pack until after we launched (he owes me one). Given that they’ve already made a billion, he was cool with that, obviously Kotick took it as being belligerent.” EA’s spok…

Thank you gamercide members and especially PK for helping me learn internet and computers. I thank him especially for teaching me to download more RAM. It is sooooo cool, you just click one adorable button! I didn't understand the difference between first person and third person shooter. Now I know Little Big Planet is a first person shooter. I also learned to pause your game, just press Alt and F4!! Awessommeee. Pk also taught me that a nickname for my video cards is rusty trombone! How funny of a nickname! Anyway thanks for everyone being so nice!!! <3 Awwwww cute!!!!!!!
