Came across this on Twitter and the person who tweeted it, was proud his daughter had failed it. I know more than a few females who enjoy military FPS' and LEGO. Why are we limiting our children, or teaching them that they shouldn't be liking something? I like to cook. Guess that makes me a girl. Good job, American Education. P.S. Kudos to his daughter for making extras spaces to include both girls and boys for so many categories.

SURPRISE! You're now the proud owner of a limited edition shiny 360 s console! Microsoft said all Xbox 360 consoles will soon ship with a matte finish, ditching the gloss finish first used for the slim models introduced last June. The 4GB unit currently uses a matte finish. "We are actively transitioning all our Xbox 360 S consoles to a matte finish," said Xbox Live's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb. "The consoles will start to arrive in stores over the coming weeks, so if you really love the idea of a glossy console don't wait much longer." What is an Energy Vampire? Intruding on your life, ignoring boundaries and privacy (energy vampires don't think of you). Making big deals out of nothing. Energy vampires are often called "drama queens" because they can turn a broken nail into a Shakespearean tragedy. Complaining constantly about their partners, jobs, children, bad luck, and illnesses. Energy vampires like to vent. Criticizing your hair, appearance, job, children, partner, friends, and pets (energy vampires aren't positive). Not taking "no" for an answer. Energy vampires don't consider your needs. Being unrelentingly negative. Their negative energy is relentless, and energy vampires drain your positive ene…

In a paper published July 27 in the journal PLoS One, the researchers tested their drug against 15 viruses, and found it was effective against all of them — including rhinoviruses that cause the common cold, H1N1 influenza, a stomach virus, a polio virus, dengue fever and several other types of hemorrhagic fever. The drug works by targeting a type of RNA produced only in cells that have been infected by viruses. “In theory, it should work against all viruses,” says Todd Rider, a senior staff scientist in Lincoln Laboratory’s Chemical, Biological, and Nanoscale Technologies Group who invented the new technology. Because the technology is so broad-spectrum, it could potenti…

Those of you who know me, know I'm not really a person who shares feelings. You will never be able to go back and find a post of me sharing anything personal that is going on in my life. Sure I've had some hard times in my life but I have never shared them on here. I'm a strong person who just keeps marching and never shares how I'm feeling. I am going to talk about something now, and I don't want sympathy, I feel weird when I talk about stuff I'm feeling. Anyways a few months ago my uncle died, it was pretty unexpected and I was the first one notified so I was the bearer of bad news, which is a first for me. I went to the funeral, and I notice I didn't feel anything. I w…

My dad started noticing money going missing from our account so he went to check out where it was going. Turns out Barnes and Nobles has been charging my sister for books that they have labeled as "Free". So while ym dad started to try and get it fixed by calling them I googled it real quick and found(http://websearch.about.com/b/2009/07/21/free-ebooks-at-barnes-and-noble.htm) turns out alot of people are coming across the same issue. So if you have a Nook and use their eshop make sure you stay away from these so called "Free" books.

America welcomes a new brand of smart street lightning systems: energy-efficient, long-lasting, complete with LED screens to show ads. They can also spy on citizens in a way George Orwell would not have imagined in his worst nightmare. With a price tag of $3,000+ apiece, according to an ABC report, the street lights are now being rolled out in Detroit, Chicago and Pittsburgh, and may soon mushroom all across the country. Part of the Intellistreets systems made by the company Illuminating Concepts, they have a number of “homeland security applications” attached. Each has a microprocessor “essentially similar to an iPhone,” capable of wireless communication. Each can captu…

These days it seems like companies will do anything to squeeze a buck out of gamer’s already tight pockets. With limited edition console themed versions of video games releasing to answer every fanboys undying pleasure, it appears that video game themed consoles bundles are beginning to take the place of limited and special edition versions of video games. Are these overpriced bundled consoles swaying the gamer’s opinions to buy not only the game, but the console or more importantly are gamers even taking notice? “i stray away from them. after the novelty wore off, you’d be wanting for a classic look.” -MajorWhiteBoy Microsoft is one of those companies that tend to put…

Developed by: Blue Fang Games Players: 1 Platforms: Apple iPad (Requires iOS 3.2 or later) Rated: 9+ (Frequent/Intense Cartoon or Fantasy Violence) As the player you control the females (and sometimes the lazy male) of a lion pride as they stock and kill prey to feed the pride. It’s simple, it’s fun, it’s easy to play, and hard to master. At a price of $4.99 from the iTunes App store some players may feel it’s a bit steep of a price since the average App runs around $0.99 -$2.99. Well this is far from an average App. It’s difficult me for to review or recommend games for mobile platforms such as smart phones and tablets. Most of these “games” can be classified under time …
