So, does anyone here have any opinions on this game? The reviews are such a mixed bag I can't figure out if I want it. Some reviewers are talking like this is the worst thing ever, but others are praising it. None give it super high marks versus the original trilogy, but I enjoyed 3 much more than most too.

http://www.mwomercs.com Greetings fellow mech pilots! Just wanted to let everyone know that Mechwarrior: Online has finally entered its "Open Beta" stage. Even though the game is still technically "beta", it's now available for everyone to download and play. There will be no more server resets, no loss of your mechs, money, credits or experience. This is it moving forward now. The game is FREE TO PLAY, and it's awesome! I've been playing for a few months now so I'm excited to finally start working on my mechs and not have to worry about server resets. Let me know if you're going to check it out. We can group up in game sometime if you were interested.

Microsoft has reaffirmed that maligned PC service Games for Windows - Live service is here to stay. Can we at least ditch the hyphen? Quizzed by NeoGamr about possible discontinuation (via Rock, Paper, Shotgun), Microsoft responded: "Answer is no." And continued: "Microsoft continues to support the Games for Windows platform, but we are making new investments in Metro style games. To this end, and "for the core PC gamer", Microsoft launched Age of Empires Online and Microsoft Flight. Count yourselves lucky. Just thought I'd put out a quick thought about this game. To sum it up, I believe it will get me back into gaming, if only an hour or so at a time. To be blunt, it borrows heavily from oh, at least three top tier games if not four, but it does a good job of making it work. However, the nemesis system is a pretty cool twist. I've barely scratched the surface of the game with just about two hours, but I'm enjoying it. I think the deciding factor will be if it becomes repetitive or not. It's got a bunch of collectible crap in it, but at least it gives pretty immediate player reward with a bit of lore attached thus far. Anyway, anyone else picked it up and liking it?…
