Every Xbox One Will Include a Headset
Microsoft has done some back peddling with the "no headset" rule with purchases of the Xbox One outside of the limited edition Day One console. Microsoft confirmed the news that every Xbox One will come with a headset in a blog post on Xbox Wire that included the unboxing of a Day One edition Xbox 360. Also confirmed is that every Xbox One will come with a 4K HDMI cable. "When we say 4K HDMI cable, we mean it. The HDMI cable we’re including is an actual Category 2 HDMI cable, rated for 1080P, 3D and 4K, according to the HDMI 1.4 spec." For those of you that were wondering if the Xbox One console in the video is the newly announced 853mhz GPU, it is and it also happens to be one of the first production units. FYI...there are less than 20 of those that exist. Click here to view the article

New PS4 Pre-Orders Not Guaranteed in the UK
Our friends that live in the UK who waited until the last minute to pre-order Sony's PS4 are not going to be happy with the news of pre-orders no longer being guaranteed for a day one release, although if you waited until now to order the console then you have nobody to blame but yourself. ShopTo, a UK online store confirmed the news by stating, "Sony have confirmed all PlayStation 4 pre-orders placed from 6th August will now not be guaranteed for launch. You can still pre-order PS4 with us in case we receive cancellations and can fulfil your order for launch." Shortly after this announcement, Amazon stated the same thing to their UK market; "Please note - due to high demand, orders placed for the PlayStation 4 console from 6th August may be received after release date. We will ship orders as soon as we receive sufficient inventory.". Also releasing a statement was Asda who said, "Any customer who has placed a Pre-Order with Asda for a Sony PlayStation 4 console before 5th August will have their console delivered on day of launch. These amended Terms & Conditions are for all Pre-order placed on or after the 5th August now that Sony have suspended Guaranteed Day 1 Pre-Ordering". via CVG Click here to view the article

Has Left 4 Dead 3 Accidently Been Confirmed?
Valve might be rethinking their touring strategies after a photo appeared online perhaps confirming Left 4 Dead 3. During a recent tour of the Valve Bellevue offices, a Dota 2 player spied and took a photo of an internal changelog that was left open for all to see. The message in the changelog states, "Restored L4D3's devtest unit. Ran locally 6 times without an assert...". Also caught in the photograph is the Source 2 engine which Half Life 3 is rumored to be using. Valve has yet to comment on the leaked photo and whether L4D3 is officially in development. Rumors have been running rampant that L4D3 is indeed in development after an internal Valve document was discovered by Valvetime in June that named 791 projects including Half Life 3, L4D3, Source 2 engine, and F-Stop; a Portal followup. via Crave Online Click here to view the article

Xbox One's Kinect May Have It's Own Voice
We all know there are alot of unknowns, rumors, and confusing responses on Microsoft's behalf when it comes to the future of their newest console, Xbox One. One of those new rumors that recently came to life is that the latest version of Kinect that will be shipping with Xbox One may have it's own voice technology.IGN claims that there is a rumor running around the internet that the next version of Kinect, Kinect 2 may have it's very own voice that interacts with several people including welcoming a new individual who just entered into a room to asking a person to identify himself or herself. Another aspect of the Kinect 2 that is still hanging out in the "rumor/tried to to be explained, but miserably failed stage" is whether or not the Kinect will always be viewing and hearing what you do which has become a concern of many gamers in regards to their privacy. Harvey Eagle; Microsoft's UK Marketing Director stated, "Kinect does require to be connected to Xbox One in all cases, yes". However Microsoft quickly retracted that statement and said, "It is not always watching or always listening... you can turn the system completely off. This would use no power and turn everything off. We’ll share more details about how it all works later." Those details are expected to be made known at this year's E3. The amazingly creepy Kinect 2 sensor will have a 1080p camera and a motion control camera that captures 2 gigabits of data per second. Click here to view the article

[Kid Review] - Shade Dogs
That was a great review. Say thanks to your little one Spawn and tell him that he will always have a job here with us our "Jr. Reviewer" I agree with the others. I think this is something that we should do more of with child reviews of children games. This is something we should look into for those of us that have kids.......you know for in the future. Like Fap said above, a child's opinion is completely unbiased.

Phil Harrison Attempts to Clear Up Rumors About Xbox One
My family owns 4 But it's mainly after helping a couple friends out who needed some money and needed to get rid of them. I just don't see the big deal, but that's just me. I think it's because our gaming dynamic with my family shifted and we all kind of do our own thing now. Like Jason mainly plays WoW, I use the main 360 and the other 3 are spread out for dvd players and hulu/Netflix players. Maybe if this came out 5 years ago I would have been all rawr, but I'm excited. For this and the PS4 and also just the technology advances of these consoles. It's quite incredible if you think about it once you get past everything else.

Phil Harrison Attempts to Clear Up Rumors About Xbox One
While speaking directly to Eurogamer, Phil Harrison attempted to clear up some ugly rumors and conflicting reports that surfaced since Microsoft's reveal of Xbox One.One of those conflicting reports that Harrison was quick to dispel was the report that the Xbox One will require a constant connection to the internet. "Some bits of the system will work offline. I think the key point to make is that Xbox One requires an internet connection, but it does not need to be connected all the time..." Just to repeat that, THE XBOX ONE DOES NOT REQUIRE A CONSTANT INTERNET CONNECTION MMMKAY? Another rumor that Harrison attempted to clear up was used games and digital permissions. "So, think about how you use a disc that you own of an Xbox 360 game. If I buy the disc from a store, I use that disc in my machine, I can give that disc to my son and he can play it on his 360 in his room. We both can't play at the same time, but the disc is the key to playing. I can go round to your house and give you that disc and you can play on that game as well. What we're doing with the digital permissions that we have for Xbox One is no different to that. If I am playing on that disc, which is installed to the hard drive on my Xbox One, everybody in my household who has permission to use my Xbox One can use that piece of content. [so] I can give that piece of content to my son and he can play it on the same system." Take note; no extra fees if you play it on the same system. Harrison went on to explain what happens if you go to a friend's house and take a game disc with you that you own. "I can come to your house and I can put the disc into your machine and I can sign in as me and we can play the game. The bits are on your hard drive. At the end of the play session, when I take my disc home - or even if I leave it with you - if you want to continue to play that game [on your profile] then you have to pay for it. The bits are already on your hard drive, so it's just a question of going to our [online] store and buying the game, and then it's instantly available to play. The bits that are on the disc, I can give to anybody else, but if we both want to play it at the same time, we both have to own it. That's no different to how discs operate today." Does everyone understand now? If you are a one console family or person, you are fine. However if you are a multiple console family and bounce game discs around, you will need to either a.) buy multiple discs if you game together or b.) purchase the game through whatever Microsoft has in store which will probably be announced at E3, but it sounds like they partnered with Gamestop, Amazon, or some other gaming retail giant in order to do this type of service for instant gaming access. via Eurogamer Click here to view the article

Eternal Darkness Spiritual Successor Announced
Precursor Games announced that they are developing Shadow of the Eternals, the spiritual successor to Silicon Knights' 2002 Gamecube cult hit Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. Shadow of the Eternals will be released in episodic format for the Wii U and PC only for a total of 12 episodes with each episode having about 2-4 hours of gameplay. Throughout the 12 episodes, players will follow the story of Detective Paul Becker who is investigating one of the bloodiest gang massacres in the history of the state of Louisiana where there are only two survivors. These two survivors will help Detective Paul Becker uncover the story behind the "Eternals" and span 2,500 years of history in Egypt, England, Hungary, and the United States, much like Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem which also hopped through out history while uncovering the secrets of the Ancients. Also like in Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, players will see the return of the famed sanity effects that cause disturbances unlike any game I have ever played, even modern day titles. According to the official site for Shadow of the Eternals, details on the digital distribution of the 12 episodes will be announced at a later date, however they stated under the "Project Faq's" that they do plan to release the episodes sometime in the third quarter of 2014. via IGN and Shadow of the Eternals (official site)
