Xbox One News on Day One Update
The update addresses the system's firmware changes that were needed after the change of policies that occurred when fans moaned over several key features that were set to appear in the Xbox One. Unfortunately for the Xbox One consoles that were set to launch could not be tweaked to reflect those changes hence the need for the update. "We are optimising Xbox One so that the day one update is as fast as possible. While we're still finalising the details, we expect that the download will take between 15 and 20 minutes for most users," stated Xbox One's Chief Platform Architect Marc Whitten to IGN. Whitten also explained that every single Xbox One title will be able to use the cloud service, existing Xbox Live gamertags will be carried over to the Xbox One, and there will be optional updates from developers that gamers do not have to download immediately and can continue playing online without interruption. Whitten also confirmed that you can be signed on at the same time with the same gamertag on one Xbox 360 console and one Xbox One console and reiterated that Xbox One is no longer region locked and also that gamers can turn the Kinect sensor completely off in the settings. The Xbox One is set to launch this upcoming holiday season on the same day as the Xbox 360 launched, November 22nd. Xbox One's competitor the PS4, releases the week prior on November 15th. via IGN

Eternal Darkness Spiritual Successor Shadow of the Eternals Delayed
I am hoping that someone bigger picks this up. I am huge fan of Eternal Darkness and was anticipating this to come out. In my opinion, no game has come to close to creating those effects in a single game that Eternal Darkness did.

Eternal Darkness Spiritual Successor Shadow of the Eternals Delayed
For fans who were looking forward to the spiritual successor of one of the most underrated survival horror games of all time; Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, I have some bad news for you. Shadow of the Eternals has been delayed and not just the usual few months out delay. It has been delayed indefinitely. Shadow of the Eternals which was suppose to release on the Wii U and PC was officially given a partial heave-ho, as the studio behind the game announced that they are putting Shadow of the Eternals on hold. Precursor Games' Denis Dyack explained that the move was necessary, because the team behind the game felt that it needed a "rest". "Is the project dead? No, but we feel it needs a rest too. We have all agreed as a group that when and if the time is right we will get together and start it up again." via IGN Click here to view the article

Killzone: Shadow Fall File Save is a Massive 50GB
Those of you with slower connections be prepared for a long wait if you intend on purchasing and downloading Killzone: Shadow Fall for the Playstation 4. Fergal Gara from Sony UK spoke to Eurogamer and admitted that the file size for Killzone: Shadow Fall is 50GB. Gara was asked how the Playstation Network has improved their download speed and responded by stating, "First of all, it is definitely going to grow as a means of consumption. And there are big innovations in the PS4 to make it more attractive and more easy gamer wise to want to download. The Play as you Download functionality, for example, means you don't need the whole file before you go. This is a little bit counterbalanced by the fact the files themselves are getting bloody big. Killzone: Shadow Fall is an uber file - I think it's cracking on for 50GB. It looks it, too, when you see it." In a separate interview between Eurogamer and Killzone: Shadow Fall developer Guerrilla Games, it was announced that the game will run at 60 fps "a lot of the time". Lead designer Eric Boltjes explained why the multiplayer cannot run at 60 fps.. "The reason for that is tricky. Running 60 has become this Holy Grail. Suddenly people think if you run 60 your game is better. Technically, that's not really true. But what it does do is it makes decisions go from input to on-screen a lot easier. So, having a constant 60 is not actually better than having a 'lot of the time' 60. It sounds weird, but it's actually true. Because usually in the moments where we're going to drop framerate, either you're already dead or it's too late anyway". Killzone: Shadow Fall is releasing November 15th alongside the PS4. via Eurogamer Click here to view the article

Xbox One Exclusive Ryse Cannot Run on the PS4
Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli made a rather interesting comment over Twitter when asked why Crytek's upcoming story about the fictional character, Marius Titus who becomes a leader in the Roman Army isn't appearing on Sony's Playstation 4 and remains an exclusive to the Xbox One. The comment was made after Yerli was asked if Ryse: Son of Rome could run at 1080p and if would have "hurdles" on the PS4 and he responded by stating that, "Yes as choice wasnt based on a hurdle. Its for efficiency as no perceived visual difference, as final output is 1080p". Keep in mind that Rome is run at 900p, which is "upscaled to 1080p" according to OXM. This announcement comes after many gamers have hurled accusations at Crytek that the graphics of the game have received a downgrade since this year's E3 where it was shown. Yerli further responded to these accusations over Twitter saying, "There is not one single downgrade compared to E3, promised! Only UPGRADES in the final push towards finalling phase! Its FULL HD XP" and "Ryse runs at 1600x900 for best perf & res, we apply our upscaler for AA, framebuffer native 1080p. SAME as E3 Xbox One! No change, No compromise!". To prove his point, Yerli also posted a photo comparing Ryse that appeared at E3 and with the current game graphics which he claims, "Hero Marius 85k polys? It was choice. 150k polys w LODs vs 85K + better shading + no LODs (stable). The latter wo at better quality!". What do you think? via OXM and Twitter Click here to view the article

PlayStation 4 Game Recording Free for Everyone
This is something that should be on every console regardless....*eyeballs Nintendo*. I like Microsoft's version of it with the live Twitch streaming to your channel, but it's only available to gold members and I think it's something that everybody should be able to do regardless of their account status.
