It's a heck of a lot of fun Pogre. You should definitely get it so you can play some games with the rest of us.

I know there is a thread in the XBLA section, but I feel the need to make another one. THIS GAME RULES. Wow, I can't say it enough. I love the class-based system. I love how anyone can build/upgrade various turrets so it's almost like a Tower Defense game. I love the humor. I love earning money in-match to upgrade my skills (kind of like Shadowrun or Counterstrike). I love shooting the Mascot as he's dancing around the Arena to earn some extra loot. And it's surprisingly smooth! I haven't had any lag. Plus the game even LOOKS good (running the Unreal Engine). I like the art style (even though it's a kind of TF2 rip). I like that there is like a "horde/firefight" mode called Blitz that you can play on or offline. Definitely worth the 1200MS points. After playing it, I'd even go so far as to say I might have dropped 1600MS on it. I really hope that we see some new DLC arenas in the future. Let me know if you pick the game up. Sajam, Brad and I had a hell of a good time last night. We should get a party of 6 of us running around. I'm also going to try to review and game and contact the Devs, point them in the direction of the review and see if I can score some downloadable codes to offer up as a contest prize next month. Can't guarantee it, but we'll see!

I think I'm totally going to buy this one instead of Castlevania. I think I'll get more playtime out of it.

I have to admit, Super Castlevania IV was epic, and almost makes my top 3. *high-fives* I'mm ago hide now though. Spooked to hell by that Marble Hornets shenanigans

I dunno Em. Personally, I prefer some of the "old school" Castlevania games. My personal favorites are Bloodlines (The only Genesis Castlevania ever, and the story lent heavily to the newer "Portrait of Ruin' Nintendo DS game), and also Castlevania 3 (NES). However, Castlevania 2 was amazing as well. Hella hard and very intricate. I loved all the secrets and collecting bits of Dracula throughout the game. Definitely one of the toughest. That's not to say I don't love the newer ones which are spiritual successors to the runaway smash hit of Symphony of the Night (PS1), but some of the originals were certainly better in my opinion. That being said, I CAN'T WAIT FOR LORDS OF SHADOW!!!! LOOKS AMAZING!!!

And also, Curse of Darkness was pretty deep and engaging once you got into it. It had pretty good graphics, and the gameplay was MUCH improved over Castlevania64. In fact, I kind of miss CoD so much that I may fire up the OBox since you reminded me of it!

Negative. Legacy of Darkness was NOT the worst Castlevania game. That honor goes to Judgement. That game sucks so bad that I can't describe it. I'd rather play Castlevania64 for eternity that be subjected to Judgement again. I have high hopes for Lords of Shadow though. *crosses fingers with Spawn*

Awwww, what was wrong with Castlevania 64? Don't be knockin, I actually kind of enjoyed that game. Dud must be using cheats though. What the hell is with all the jumping? LoL I can't wait for the new Castlevania game, Lords of Shadow. Looks aweeesssooommmeee!!!

Need some pointers GG? The game is pretty easy once you get a handle on the mechanics of the game and how the combat should flow.

Looks pretty awesome. I'm not great at most fighting games these days. I just can't keep up with all those hooligan kids with their "dash cancelling" and "super hyper mega destroy you by quartercircling analog sticks and pressing 13 buttons" moves. This game is a throwback to simpler times, when fighting games didn't have crazy moves you can't pull off. So apparently this game got decent reviews. Anyone want to try it out? It'd be cool to fight Pirates Vs. Ninjas. LoL
