September was childhood cancer awareness month, but Granite's school is showing support tomorrow by having all of the kids and staff wear yellow shirts. This is especially important because yesterday we found out that a family that goes to the same church where Granite has Sunday School....their little 2 year old boy was diagnosed with Leukemia after they took him to the emergency room for what they though were belly issues. The boy was immediately flown to the Hershey Medical Center which in this area is the best place to receive care. So far he has had five blood transfusions, 1 platelet transfusion, and will be receiving a pic line in his spine for chemo and also a …

Yesterday, the lifeguards had the red flags flying (which means no swimming because it's not safe conditions), but today they didn't. So my little brother and I went over to the beach this morning at like 10ish and were out in the water boogie boarding and swimming. The current was pretty strong today though. I finally had a new trash service come up in my area and bought a years worth of service because it was half the cost I was paying my current company.
