Fox News "Navarro, the cat found marinating in the trunk of a car, gets to use another of its nine lives. And he gets a new owner -- and a new name, too. Vickie Dankowski, of Cheektowaga in upstate New York, read about the cat in the newspaper and says she immediately wanted to adopt him -- and call him Oliver. “My sister and I went over to the SPCA and interacted and played with Oliver for a few hours and then started the adoption process,” she said. The 4-year-old feline was rescued Sunday from 51-year-old Gary Korkuc, who was preparing the cat as a meal by “marinating” him in oil and peppers in the trunk of his car. Police officers made the discovery during a traffic…

It's been awhile since I last posted what's coming out of my audio lab, so here's the latest one. It's a remake/remix of a song since I added some different instruments in and such. It's an MP3 but as always, if you want the .flp, let me know and I'll send it to you. http://www.mediafire.com/?dmkoduxtuwz

Now there's a mouthful. Built around 100-150 B.C., it was discovered off the Greek Island of Antikythera on an ancient shipwreck found by sponge divers at the dawn of the 20th century. Only recently have we had the technology to penetrate through the thick, rocky encrustation of coral and ocean bicarbonate deposited over the millennia without damaging it. Using 21st-century technology to peer beneath the surface of the encrusted gearwheels, stunned scientists say the so-called Antikythera Mechanism could predict the ballet of the Sun and Moon over decades and calculate a lunar anomaly that would bedevil Isaac Newton himself. -Cosmos Magazine 31 different moving gears wit…

  18. Who uses the word "noggin" in a news story anymore? LoL Anyways, let's meet Andy Morris. Andy likes to drink. Andy also likes fighting on subway trains while drunk. What does Andy NOT like? Being thrown from the subway platform and landing on the third rail. "A rolling argument began on the Queens-bound A train near the Jay St.-Borough Hall station. It spilled onto the platform about 10 stops later. Witnesses told cops that Morris was boozed up and belligerent and took a swing or two at a couple of other men.The ruckus attracted a ring of onlookers, including one who stepped forward and shoved Morris without warning. A police source said the person who pushed Mor…

  21. I want to tell you guys about this cool program I've been doing since 2001. Its called MyPoints. When I first started the program all I did was just read the emails they sent me, and that earned me 5 points for each one. It took me a long time to earn my points that way, but I earned my rewards. It would have been quicker if I shopped online, but I didn't at that time, not that I had the money to anyway. I ended up earning several trips to Red Lobster (just by reading email!! no joke!). Thats just the reward I chose, you can choose your own of HUNDREDS. Including Paypal, Amazon, Gamestop and many many others, that come in the form of gift cards. This past Christmas I fina…

  25. Ok. So maybe it's not the vault from Fallout, but it's still pretty cool. They're digging massive caverns under Chicago to keep sewage from flooding into Lake Michigan. http://bldgblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/artificial-caverns-expanding-beneath.html Don't be mad about the misleading topic title though! LoL
