Before and I go on for those that I don't know I take online classes through Penn State's World Campus so that this makes better sense. So, I my English Lit class...I freaking despise it. I thought it would be fun. I mean seriously....for this class I had to read mostly fantasy style books, talk about disturbing fables like Slender Man and the original versions of Rumpelstiltskin, Cinderella, before they were child friendly...oh and I got to watch Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc... BUT...my professor teaches through youtube videos of an animated wizard and a goblin. I HATE IT. The wizard has a white beard and a a stupid purple/starry hat on. Yeah those are his…

Finally got my pay fixed, so got a nice backpay check coming in today, around the sum of $3,000. Which is good news in two ways. I'm going from the $800 check I get every two weeks to the new and improved $1400 check. It only took the ARMY 4 months to fix this issue, and it was battalion wide, not just me. Hopefully I can get my car fixed and get some new clothes now lol. Also, no, I don't mind sharing my financial info online, just don't ask for my bank account info in the forums, just send me a PM instead

"The Corpse Flower gets its name from the pungent stench it emits in bloom - this, combined with the flower's huge size and deep purple color, convinced the first explorers who encountered it in Sumatra to believe it was a man-eating plant! Since then, this extremely rare plant has gained celebrity status by having one of the largest, rarest, and smelliest flowers in the world. These flowers can reach heights of 7-10 ft and a diameter of 5-6 ft. For the next week or so, you can see this incredibly rare and odorous flower for yourself in the Cockrell Butterfly Center! We anticipate that the flower will be in full bloom over the weekend of July 9 - 11. In the meantime, you…

Two scientists programmed a bunch of robots to play hide & seek. What they're researching is how to make the hiding robot "deceive" the hunters. Great, now we're not only going to have robots that will hunt us down and kill us, but they'll be able to hide and cover their own tracks so we'll have NO EFFING CLUE where they're coming from!. /facepalm "The hider's set of false communications was defined by selecting a pattern of knocked over markers that indicated a false hiding position," explains Wagner. This fiendish plan apparently fooled the hunter droids 75 per cent of the time. "We have developed algorithms that allow a robot to determine whether it should …

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/06/23/twinkies-return/2450233/ NEW YORK (AP) — Hostess is betting on a sweet comeback for Twinkies when they return to shelves next month. The company that went bankrupt after an acrimonious fight with its unionized workers last year is back up and running under new owners and a leaner structure. It says it plans to have Twinkies and other snack cakes back on shelves starting July 15. Go ahead and read the rest if you want, but all that matters is JULY 15TH!!! TWINKIES!!! WOOOO!!!!!

And probably break/shatter my elbows while doing it too. LoL BEHOLD! A 28 gauge HANDGUN, made by a company called Taurus. http://www.taurususa.com/ This hand cannon of the gods was recently unveiled as part of their "Raging Judge" line of revolvers. Unfortunately, you probably won't even be able to get it in the US, as the US Customs department has deemed it a "short barreled shotgun" and not a "revolver". *sighs*

When I have a house of my own again. (lol woops) I fully intend to have a gaming room full of game nerdiness. I've seen the incredible Mario bathroom and was quite jealous. One day I'll have my own game haven. I'll have this lamp. You basically punch it (gently) to make ti turn on and off. To turn the lamp on and off, merely punch, ahem, I mean touch, the bottom of the cube and you'll be rewarded with both light and the classic coin noise. Every eight times you toggle the light, you'll get a 1-UP! It's very bright in a dark room and still visible in daylight. Woo! Mario lamps! This one is WAY Cheaper than the Zelda lamp I just blew 100$ on. Itsa me, Mario!

This is pretty nifty. Scientists believe that the chance of this planet containing some kind of life is nearly 100%. Linky "The discovery of a 'Goldilocks' planet--it's not too hot, not too cold--is thrilling scientists who think the planet may have the right conditions to sustain life. Located in the 'Goldilocks' zone, the planet is about 120 trillion miles (20 light years) from Earth. That sounds far but scientists say that's actually 'right next door' considering the size of the universe. This discovery, the first of its kind, excites some researches who believe the chances of life on the 'Goldilocks' planet are nearly 100 percent. Find out more about this new disco…
