http://feeds.wired.c...~3/tOWjpysx7Pg/ Most StarCraft II players can only own a few battlecruisers. Maybe 10 or 15, if they play their cards right, but even with that kind of titanic fleet, your average gamer will still fall to the proper combination of opposition spacecraft in the real-time strategy game. StarCraft II player gm0ney did things a bit differently. Using a “trainer” program he downloaded from the website Cheat Happens, he found he could remove the game’s supply limit and steamroll his opponents with hundreds of gargantuan warships. If it looked like he might lose, he could switch to God Mode and watch his units turn invincible. He was clearly cheat…

CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed via conference call yesterday with investors that the new Star Wars: Battlefront title being worked on by DICE is going "very, very well" although admitting that much work remains to be done on the title. During this June's E3 event you can definitely expect to at least see some footage of the new release but it remains to be seen if the game will actually be in a playable state. EA's conference is slated to be on June 9th but the title may be shown during an earlier E3 event. The last time Battlefront has graced the hands of Star Wars lovers has been in 2004 and 2005 and was developed by Pandemic.

There is one hyphenated word that truly arouses mixed reactions from gamers around the world.Cross-Platform. Can't we all just play along? Unless you’ve been living under a rock this past decade, you’d recognize the term and possibly have even experienced some early attempts at cross-platform titles like Shadowrun for the PC/Xbox 360. Even Valve’s upcoming release of Portal 2 promises to connect users of the Playstation Network up against PC players gaming on Steam. Cross-platform titles are essentially games that you can play online one system against users on a completely different console. What is the limit of gaming interconnectivity? We’ve seen what can happe…

All this week Sega has been teasing about “big news” coming to Sonic the Hedgehog’s Facebook page. Fans of Sega’s favorite blue chili dog eating hero start tapping your feet, because Sonic is back in a new game coming to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year. The colorful 3D teaser trailer which you can view checking out Sonic’s very own Facebook page, shows Sonic speeding along, leaping from platform to platform only to make one big jump and another blue Sonic appears beside him. Does this mean the new game will be co-op or has Sonic gotten a speedy doppleganger? via Sonic the Hedgehog’s Facebook Tweet This Post View the full article

I was looking around the blizzard forums the other day and came across this thread in one of the more recent topics created. While as of now WoW is the only game that I know of that this is effected by I thought it could be interesting to see what everyone else thought of it and how they would react to it if this were done to one of your games. To sum up the thread and what has been happening in patch 4.3, Blizzard has recently created a new feature called Looking For Raid or LFR. The lfr lets you que yourself for the new raid that is out and allows you to more easily find a group of members who also want to down the content. So think of it like as selecting online coop a…

Going to break the rule of no Destructoid links on this forum, since they brought this touching story to light. Go there and read about Michael John Mamaril. http://www.destructoid.com/gearbox-to-honor-late-fan-as-an-npc-in-borderlands-2-215160.phtml Proud of both Gearbox and Destructoid for making this happen. Peace and well wishes to the family of Michael John Mamaril.

I happen to stumble upon this, don't know if any of you guys know about it. But this is the animation they use for games like, Grand Theft Auto IV, Red Dead Redemption etc. You can download the learning edition for free, and it comes with pretty much everything you need to have to start doing cool ****. It's really interesting to mess around with, when you're bored. You can create bullets to come flying at the dummies, and pillars to crush them. Click here to go download it.

Steubenville City Schools Supt. Michael McVey faces the most serious charges, including felony counts of obstructing justice, DeWine said. Telephone calls to the school official’s office and home were not immediately returned. All the others face misdemeanor charges. Also charged were an elementary school principal and a coach who face misdemeanor charges of failing to report possible child abuse. A former volunteer coach faces several misdemeanor charges, including making false statements and contributing to a child's delinquency. All four are to appear in court next month. The company confirmed a New York Times report that it has acquired Boston Dynamics, the Massachusetts-based maker of such noted mechanical beasts as BigDog, Atlas, Petman, Cheetah, and Wildcat. The company’s robots are among the world’s most advanced two- and four-legged machines. Some are humanoid, while others resemble predatory animals. Most have been developed under contract with military agencies, including the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA.
