CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed via conference call yesterday with investors that the new Star Wars: Battlefront title being worked on by DICE is going "very, very well" although admitting that much work remains to be done on the title.

 

During this June's E3 event you can definitely expect to at least see some footage of the new release but it remains to be seen if the game will actually be in a playable state.  EA's conference is slated to be on June 9th but the title may be shown during an earlier E3 event.

 

The last time Battlefront has graced the hands of Star Wars lovers has been in 2004 and 2005 and was developed by Pandemic.

Should be as good if not better.  It's said to be using their new Frostbite 3 engine, so that means hella awesome destructible environments and shiz.  Has me pretty excited as well Kira.

All of the yesses.  Those were my all time favorite shooter/multiplayer games back in the day.  It's a shame Pandemic isn't around anymore and won't be behind the new one though.

Yeah Kev, Pandemic did a great job but I'm kind of interested to see what DICE does with it with their new FB3 engine!!  Destructible environments would be super awesome.  Can't wait to play it on my PS4!

I do also hope they expand on the "Galactic Conquest" game mode. I abused that thing.

Been a long time since I played Battlefront. Hopefully DICE doesn't modern shooter it too much.
