So the Space Quest creators did end up going the kickstarter route to fund their SpaceVenture. Here's the link http://www.kickstart...rs-of-space-que One thing they're doing different is releasing a demo every 100k tier they meet. Not sure if this is after the 500k or on the road to 100k.

So what's the info on the rpg? The videos I've seen indicate its a graphically good looking game. Lots of detail on the armors and such. However, its hard to get a straigh-line on this game since I don't see too much info about it. Releases for all platforms on 5/15. edit - found this video about combat - realtime during combat and inventory management. You can slow-down time, but never stop it. http://www.ign.com/v...bat-walkthrough

The Witcher 2 developer CDProjekt is looking for new staff to work on two new RPGs in development at the studio. is apparently an "RPG in a dark fantasy world", with a little sword icon next to it. The other is said to be an "RPG in a brand new setting", and has a gun icon next to it - hinting at a more modern setting. "Both are story-driven RPG games for mature players," says the developer. CDProjekt describes the "RPG in a brand new setting" as "a vast RPG" in an "entirely new and different IP" - somewhat suggesting that the other game is not (The Witcher 3, you say?). "We're looking for people who would rather work on an entirely new and different IP - a vast RPG for…

Thought it might be an idea to have a thread where we can talk about Diablo 3 items? Someplace to post items that maybe you don't want/need that other gamercide players might. No worries if someone wants/needs to do other things with their items. I'll start it off with the following request. I'm looking for a nice 2H crossbow for my DH. I'm lvl 15 and have been using the same 'blue' 1h crossbow since lvl 6. Thanks guys. edit - I'll list my "don't need" items later.

So, I like RPGs. I like JRPGs and I like WRPGs. What I don't like is that both of them have fallen into a rut and would rather adhere to tradition than innovate in their respective genres. The answer isn't to try to bring back oldschool games, because they went out of fashion for a reason. Because big companies aren't pushing forward with making innovative RPGs, I decided I would make one myself. You can see the Kickstarter here. Rather than trying to look to the past, we decided to start from scratch and throw out everything that has been done to death and makes RPGs repetitive - random encounters, grinding, silent protagonists, mystical princesses, ancient evils, etc. I…

Paradox Interactive and Arrowhead Game Studios have begun to realize that Magicka, their award-deserving four-player spell-em-up, presents several opportunities for in-game malice. While Magicka is ostensibly a co-op title, there are plenty of players out there who have realized that not every death at the hands of their fellow wizards is necessarily accidental. In response, Paradox Interactive is proud to announce The Other Side of the Coin, a new DLC adventure developed in partnership with Pieces Interactive, allowing players to take on the role of the bad guys. Well, the deliberately bad guys, anyway. Would-be villains will take on the role of Alucart the Vampire as he…

CD Projekt Red releases teaser image for upcoming role-playing game hinting at futuristic setting with guns; full announcement slated for tomorrow. The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red has offered a glimpse into the company's future. Today, the Polish studio released a concept image for a new mystery AAA role-playing game in development at the company, hinting that project may be set in the future. Might CD Projekt Red be making a cyberpunk RPG? The image (below) depicts a man wielding a futuristic-looking handgun and wearing eyeglasses boasting some sort of computerized heads-up display. Other details are not available, but gamers won't have to wait long to know what CD …

Among The Sleep invites you into the mind and body of a two year old child. After being put to bed one evening, mysterious things start to happen. Being played in first person, the game let its players immerse themselves in a child's limitless imagination. This is a perspective we all have a distant familiarity with, but few can clearly remember what it felt like. In the borderland between dream and reality, surreal creatures and diverse environments will present you with both physical and mental obstacles that challenge your creativity. Among The Sleep is set for release on PC & MAC next year, but you can bask in some of its glory already, by downloading the wallpape…

Right. So, I was on Steam when it said I had Napoleon: Total War in my library. Then it said "2 Days Left!" Next to it. I looked, and it said I owned the full game. The thing is, I had never bought it. I got a new game for completely free. Anyone know why this happened?

So I have a Dell PC, HP LCD monitor, keyboard, and mouse and I don't need it anymore. It's my old work PC (we upgraded) and it has twice the storage because the thing was custom built to hold alot of narratives, appraisals, and real estate photos. Would anybody be interested in this thing as a gaming PC or just interested in it in general? I'm willing to ship it, if someone will take it off my hands for $75 and half the cost of shipping.

So I caved yesterday and pre-ordered the game (official release is today, so I still got the pre-order goodies). I played the beta for a few months and really enjoyed it. The setting, the classless/level-less character progression, the fact that I actually have to THINK to complete a fair amount of quests, etc. Anyone else play the beta and have any thoughts on the game? I needed a new game since I'm getting pretty bored of Diablo on Hell mode.
