  2. Bioware's Michael Gamble announced that the Mass Effect 3 downloadable content "From Ashes" will be available as a separate download for gamers who choose not plunk down the change for the Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition. The extra DLC that was leaked prematurely onto the Xbox Live Marketplace yesterday includes a Prothean squad member, side story, and new outfits for your squad, and a new weapon. It will cost non-CE buyers an extra $10.00 or 800 MS points. Gamble said that Bioware and EA wanted to make sure that everybody got the chance to play the DLC, because the collector's edition has been sold out at most retailers. via Bioware Forums Click here to view the article
  3. Fans of the Mass Effect series will be happy to know that they surpassed the number of pre orders for Mass Effect 2 with Bioware's upcoming entry into the series, Mass Effect 3. EA product manager Will Graham said that the pre orders for Mass Effect 3 have "broken the targets set" and are " well ahead of where we were at the same point with Mass Effect 2". EA has been heavily advertising to get the Mass Effect brand out there for Mass Effect 3's release on March 6th. Besides commercials, collectable items, and trailers, EA has also launched copies of Mass Effect 3 with GPS devices attached into space so that gamers can track the copies and hunt them down when they land. via MCV Click here to view the article
  4. Someone has leaked the Mass Effect 3 live action trailer onto Youtube that was originally suppose to go live during tonight's episode of AMC's The Walking Dead. Clever marketing trick by EA or was this an actual leak? The world wil never know. http://youtu.be/XOLxwmmQNjA via and Joystiq Click here to view the article
  5. EA's online download system Origin has been accused of placing a form of tracking software onto your computer to get your personal information, but EA has always denied the claims that gamers had made. After a post in the forum Day One Patch and the responses that follow, is there finally proof that Origin is reading information off of your gaming machine? User forsayken claims that when he booted up Origin to play Battlefield 3, he took notice that Dead Space 2 appeared, however he claims that he downloaded Dead Space 2 four months ago off of Steam. Turns out from the responses, others have taken notice to the same thing happening to them with other Steam purchased games appearing on Origin. What do you think? Origin trying to get the upper hand and to each their own or has EA shown that they will do anything to get personal information from their users like installing rumored tracking software onto your PC? via Day One Patch Click here to view the article

  10. SOCOM developer Zipper Interactive has closed effecting close to 80 employees. Sony made the announcement over the weekend that they have decided to close Zipper Interactive and cited that "the closure is a result of a normal cycle of resource re-alignment within Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios." Zipper Interactive was originally founded in 1995 and purchased by Sony in January 2006. 11. Capcom has just bitched slapped those of you who purchased the March release of Street Fighter x Tekken with one little statement. Capcom's statement was in response to the outcry from gamers regarding the on the disc DLC and unlocked at later date downloadable DLC for Street Fighter x Tekken. Just to clarify this issue even further, Capcom is saying that downloadable content on the game disc that you play on day one is no different from downloadable content that is either "locked" on the disc for a later date or downloadable content that you download at a later date from something like the Xbox Live Marketplace. Some gamers have been so outraged that they filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau citing that they are being mistreated. As reported by Siloconera, Capcom also tried to play the blame game with Microsoft and the Xbox 360 saying their Xbox 360 brand is why there is a lack of local co-op in the fighting game. This was later proven to be false and it is indeed Capcom's doing. via Gaming Blend Click here to view the article
  12. IGN's Jessica Chobot has angered Mass Effect fans after her recent comments regarding the backlash of outrage from many gamers over the ending in Mass Effect 3. Chobot who makes a few appearances as reporter Diana Allers in Mass Effect 3 wrote a blog entry where she called gamers whiny for complaining about the ending of Mass Effect 3 and as a result the blog post has been deleted, Chobot issued an apology, and announced late yesterday that she is closing down her blog on IGN. Jessica Chobot shot to popularity among gamers after a photo surfaced of her licking a PSP back in 2005. She was later hired by IGN as a host of IGN Strategize and Weekly Wood. Chobot married fellow IGN host Blair Herter in 2012. What do you think Gamercide? Should she have just kept her mouth shut or was she correct in sharing her truthful comments? via IGN Click here to view the article

  14. Creators of the upcoming Kinect only spin on the Fable series, Fable: The Journey, are saying that fans are being unfair and that they really need to just give it a chance. Former Microsoft employee and Fable Designer Peter Molyneux said in a recent press conference that he wants gamers to know that they will not be "leaping" through the air. "From the blogs and the posts that I've seen, there's a lot of skepticism out there. People think that they're going to be leaping around the room or they're going to have to shout at the top of their voice and feel embarrassed. We don't want that - we want you to feel relaxed." Molyneux isn't the only one that was on the Fable team that is speaking out. Both Dene and Simon Carter are saying that the response has not been "fair" and that if this was a Mario game, nobody would even question it. "Why there can't be room for a Kinect side spin-off of the Fable franchise I don't know. That seems a bit odd. I can't think of any good reason why that would not work. If this was a Mario thing for example, if this was a Mario shooter based on the Wii controller, nobody would go, 'That's a terrible thing. That should never have happened. That's a betrayal blah blah blah vitriol vitriol." Is Fable ready for Kinect, but more importantly are fans ready to take a Kinect only Fable game seriously? via Eurogamer Click here to view the article

The content will be for free and will contain extending endings and Bioware promises further clarity in regards to the end of Shepard's story. 17. Team Ghost, would you like me to lay a smack down on your candy asses or in this case silicone giant fake ass? In what has to be the one of the worst ad campaigns ever in the history of Ubisoft's Ghost Recon series or no I take that back, video game history, Team Ghost decided to get Ice-T's wife Coco and her huge ass in on the ad. That's right I said, her huge giant ass. If you are an ass man, then dim the lights, get a tissue and some jergens because you are going to appreciate this video. However if you are more like me and are shaking your head right now at Ubisoft for thinking so little of us gamers then run along now, there is nothing to see. Who am I kidding, I am in a land of males. 18. Diablo 3 or "D3" as many fans are dubbing it is getting ready to launch tomorrow May 15th to an antsy PC crowd. Meanwhile gamers on the console end have been waiting on word on whether on not Diablo 3 will see the light of day after Diablo makers Blizzard had posted job openings that appeared to make it seem like they wanted to test the waters with Diablo heading over the PS3 and or Xbox 360. Well anxious console gamers I hate to burst your bubble, but that was not entirely true and Blizzard has the perfect explanation. In an interview with Gamasutra, Blizzard's Jay Wilson said that they were kind of lying in order to gain more employees, but they still remain unsure about Diablo's future on a console. "We tell people that basically we're experimenting, because it helps us hire people. The better people we hire, the better chance we have to actually make it. That's why we haven't kept it super secret, but we also haven't confirmed it, because we're not sure yet whether we think it will work, and whether we think we have the resources to do it." Take that however you want to, but I'll pretty much say that's a no for right now. Click here to view the article

It only took 12 hours and 29 minutes for level 32 Barbarian Yoshichan to complete D3 on the normal difficulty. His next move is to beat it on nightmare difficulty. Who wants to stereotype and say this person a.) lives at home b.) daddy and mommy let him stay home from school or played the sick card c.) blew off work for this day d.) has never had sex a day in their life e.) loved that Ghost Recon Future Soldier trailer with Coco's huge ass via Game Politics Click here to view the article
  22. According to The Official Playstation Magazine's recent Twitter posting, Sony has at least one big surprise for fans of their brand at E3 and no it is not the Playstation 4. 23. Fans who have anxiously been waiting on a remake of Square Enix's 1997 Final Fantasy VII are going to be waiting tad bit longer. Speaking to Famitsu, Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura told the Japanese magazine that a FFVII remake is not a priority at this time. While Square is focusing on their current release, FFXIII-2 with followup DLC and a possible rumored FFXIII-3, they are also working on Final Fantasy X HD remake which makes their statement regarding FFVII seem a bit confusing. via IGN Click here to view the article
  24. Matt Firor, Game Director of the Elder Scrolls Online has told Game Informer that the Elder Scroll's newly announced MMO main story will be single player only. Their reasoning behind the decision is to have your individual character feel like the only hero in the game and also to avoid the awkardness that is seeing other gamers waiting to beat the boss you are currently fighting. Not sure how fans will react to that considering that they have been beating down Bethesda's door for years requesting an Elder Scrolls MMO that can play with their fellow gamers including co-op main story play. via Game Informer (Video Interview) Click here to view the article
  25. Take Two has announced that the return of the originator of video game Bullet Time, Max Payne 3 has sold over 3 million copies since it's release on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on May 15th.
