Go check out this link over on io9. I'm too lazy to re-host the imagery and copy and paste it over here, but holy crap some of these are downright strange, plus a few descriptions made me laugh. http://io9.com/20-weird-insane-and-extremely-disturbing-barbie-dolls-1682800231/ Goddess of the Galaxy Barbie is kind of wigging me out lol.

Celebrated our 20th anniversary yesterday! Had some yummy yummy crab at Red Lobster. I can't believe we've made it 20 years! Sometimes it seems longer, other times it feels like its flown by. I've wanted to pinch his head off and tell God he died a few times lol, but I love the man. Shane gets his 1st yearly bonus at work on the 30th. So we're going to the coast and staying at my favorite hotel http://www.seaventure.com/rooms/ on Feb 3rd and coming back on the 5th. I'm excited cuz we're gonna get a full ocean view room, w/ a private hot tub on the balcony. We always stay there on our anniversary when we can, but we have only stayed in the partial view rooms. This hotel i…

http://imgur.com/a/O6N99 The newest addition to the grand list of Coolest Things Ever is being unveiled in New York today: the Lego X-Wing, the largest Lego model ever built. The model of the classic Star Wars fighter being unveiled in Times Square has a wingspan of 44 feet and comes complete with R2-D2 and a full range of sound effects. It’s a super-duper-sized version ofStar Wars Lego starfighter set #9493 and was made with 5,335,200 Lego bricks. That, according to Lego, makes it the largest model ever built, eclipsing the Lego robot at the Mall of America by some 2 million bricks. My live apparently expired the 22nd. Which, would have been no big deal if I hadn't just dished out $500+ for vet bills. So, now I'm in a crunch to pay my rent etc etc. I would like to play uno, and while I thought I had a 24 hour live card, alas, I do not, Anyone have one so I can just get stupid drunk and play uno tonight?

A little late in posting this, but each day post what you are thankful for. For the first post, you'll have to post for 15 days! I am thankful for........ 1. The paths that I have chosen to get to where I am today, because without that I would not have met.... 2. Jason. We had our major shares of ups and downs, however without him I would not be. 3. My boys; Granite and Logan. They make me want to be a better person. 4. Having a roof over my head especially after recent weather events. 5. Having a job. I might complain about it, but at least I have one. 6. My Gamercide family. You have all listened to me rant and cry more times than I can count. 7. My Nan. Sh…

How's this for an innovative startup: four African girls — the eldest of which is just fifteen years old — have worked together to invent a generator that's powered by urine. The group presented their creation at this year's Maker Faire Africa, and it's so freaking brilliant it makes me want travel back in time and punch 15-year-old me right in the solar plexus. The Next Web lays out how it works: Urine is put into an electrolytic cell, which cracks the urea into nitrogen, water, and hydrogen. The hydrogen goes into a water filter for purification, which then gets pushed into the gas cylinder. The gas cylinder pushes hydrogen into a cylinder of liquid borax, which i…

via NY Daily News A 4-year-old girl is being praised as a hero after escaping a car accident to get help for her trapped mother and injured little brother. Averie Carrion was in the backseat of her grandfather's pickup truck when her mom, who was driving, lost control on a deserted road in northwest Iowa over the weekend, KTIV 4 News in Sioux City reported on Wednesday. The Chevy Silverado "rolled about two to three times" before coming to a stop on its side, the girl's mother, Jamie, said. She could see her one-year-old son, Abel, was bleeding. "I can't see Averie and at that point I tried to call her name and she didn't answer me," Jamie said. "I thought she was u…

Written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of the Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio . "To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more: 1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good. 2. When in doubt, just take the next small step. 3. Life is too short – enjoy it. 4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and family will. 5. Pay off your credit cards every month. 6. You don't have to win every argument. Stay true to yourself. 7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone. 8. It's OK to get angry…

Lesson 1: A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, "I'll give you $800 to drop that towel." After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob. After a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, "Who was that?" "It was Bob the next door neighbor," she replies. "Great!" the husband says, "did he say anythi…

There was just a 5.8 earthquake in Virginia and I felt it the whole way up here in MD at work. My family back in PA said that they felt it to and reports are that it was felt up and down the east coast. The walls were shaking and so were the photo frames. Now they said we could also experience some aftershocks. If you live in Virginia and DC where they are evacuating I hope that you are safe!

I know this should be in the topic in the TV forum I've already created, by I'm afraid if I post in it people will just see it in the new posts list and glaze over it because they don't watch the show so don't have an interest in discussing it, but this is a request which can be moved back to that thread in a few hours if possible. Just want people to see it here first! There's a big push by fans of Stargate Universe to get others to start watching this as it's teetering on the edge of cancellation because since it's main audience is technologically literate people, a lot of them torrent it. If you haven't watched it, give tonight a try. It's meant to be a great episode,…
