The mayor said he didn’t admit to smoking crack cocaine earlier as the media only questioned him about alcohol. “I wasn't lying. You didn't ask the correct questions,” he explained. Sounds like a good mayor. http://rt.com/news/ford-toronto-admits-cocaine-273/

Trixie360 has announced on her Windows Live Spaces blog that she is leaving behind her title as Community Manager for Xbox Live and moving on to her new responsibility which is Xbox Live for Windows Phone 7. “This is a heartbreaking post for me.When I first came to xbox in 2002, people didn’t talk about ‘Community’ in gaming. Oh, community existed of course, but no one called it that. My first forays into building community began with an interview with a customer. The term “Gamer Spotlight” I pulled out of my *** in a meeting one day. What was the point of it? To give a customer a moment of attention, and to let the nascent community learn more about someone who was also …

News has broke this morning that the possible first case of credit card theft from the Playstation Network security breach that happened last week may have been reported. Rory Spreckley from Australia told ABC News that he logged in to check his bank account and noticed that there were $2,000 worth of new charges billed to his account that he did not make. “I logged into my bank account just to check everything was OK and I found out there was some just over $2,000 in charges which I didn’t personally accrue,” Sony has not made an official comment regarding this or another report that Playstation hacking site PSX-Scene is claiming that an underground website is trying …

President Obama's administration has asked Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer to create a game about reducing the U.S. deficit. Erskine Bowles, co-chair of Obama's fiscal commission, wants the game to be made so the general public can have a go to balancing the budget, reports USA Today. Read more at [source] Edge-Online If successful, could this paint gaming in a better light? Or is it a crack, as if to say, "if you can do better, than take a shot at it"? I'm going to hold my opinion to myself for awhile. I'd like to hear your reactions, though. Let's keep it respectful and as non political as we can. We're not attacking a party or anything. Do you love watching the sweaty bare chested men of the UFC duke it out in the Octagon splattering blood across the mat and found yourself wishing that you could do that without having to leave your living room? Thanks to THQ, now you can. THQ announced that they are launching UFC Personal Trainer for the PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 sometime this June. The mixed martial arts trainer was designed by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and three MMA trainers including Mark DellaGrotte, Greg Jackson and Javier Mendez who throughout their training careers have worked with top UFC fighters gave their input to the excerise based game. According to Lead Designer Troy Sheetz, i…

Say this phrase out loud please, “the ultimate fighting weapon”. Did you say it? If so, you can now be sued by the UFC! Ubisoft is feeling the wrath of the UFC’s parent company, Zuffa who feels that Ubisoft’s fighting game for the Kinect, “Fighter’s Uncaged” is “false association with the UFC and “deliberate” confusion in the mind of the consumer…” and is also tarnishing the UFC brand and causing them to lose money. So what did Ubisoft do that peeved off Zuffa? If you guessed used that phrase in their game that I asked you to say earlier, then you are correct. Fighter’s Uncaged asks gamers to become “the ultimate fighting weapon”. Apparently in Zuffa’s mind, the UFC …

HAVE A GOOD ONE, BRO!

An 18-year-old teenager, Ramarley Graham, was killed in his home in the Bronx last week by plainclothes cops. A member of the narcotics unit shot the unarmed teenager in his bathroom. While details of the tragedy are still unfolding, it appears that the teen had a small amount of marijuana on him, so walked home to get away from the cops because he didn't want to be arrested. The cops followed him, broke into his home and killed him in his bathroom while he was trying to flush a small amount of marijuana down the toilet. The police officer who shot Graham said he believed the young man had a gun. He did not -- no weapons were found. The bottom line is that an 18-year-old …

Okay, a few new things. 1. F*** WalMart. I will never work at one again. 2. I am now unemployed. 3. I got my paperwork for unemployment and can make about $147 a week for a year or until I find employment, which is nearly as much as I made at WalMart (about 400 every two weeks). 4. I've turned in applications to a few places and already heard back from a guy I know that owns the theater in the next town over (a 15 minute drive versus my former 30 minute commute). He says starting in a couple weeks he can put me on for a couple days a week, and give me more hours as they become available (some other workers are starting schooling soon and such). That's abou…
