  4. The Beyond3D forums discovered the job postings on LinkedIn. The listings are seeking a graphics architect, a senior engineer, and a senior performance architect. All three listings mention "next generation console architectures from conception through implementation," suggesting that Microsoft is still in the early stages of work on the next generation Xbox. 6. A "super Moon" will light up Saturday's night sky in a once-a-year cosmic show, overshadowing a meteor shower from remnants of Halley's Comet, the U.S. space agency NASA said. The Moon will seem especially big and bright since it will reach its closest spot to Earth at the same time it is in its full phase, NASA said. The Moon "is a 'super Moon,' as much as 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than other full Moons of 2012," it said in a statement. The scientific term for the phenomenon is "perigee moon." The Moon follows an elliptical path around Earth with one side, or perigee, about 31,000 miles closer than the other, or apogee. The Moon will reach perigee at 11:3…

  7. Three women who went missing separately about a decade ago, when they were in their teens or early 20s, had been tied up but were found alive Monday in a residential area just south of downtown, and three brothers were arrested, police said. One of the women told a 911 dispatcher the person who had taken her was gone, and she pleaded for police officers to come and get her, saying, "I'm free now." Cheering crowds gathered Monday night on the street near the home where police said Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight had been held since they went missing and were found earlier in the day. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/06/amanda-berry-gina-dejesus_n_32…

  9. OVER $850!!!! Of course this includes things like keyboards, headphones and other random ****. The problem I see is how EA is bundling DLC with literally everything out there which in my opinion leads to watered down games in the long run. I know it's a "business model" and "businesses make money" so we don't need to necessarily go down that road within this thread. How do you feel about the obscene amount of DLC? Discuss.

Released on January 25, 2011, Dead Space 2 continues the story of engineer Isaac Clarke who has lost his memory of the past 3 years and is also battling dementia in a hospital located on Sprawl. Dead Space 2 caused a minor outrage with dedicated fans not appreciating Visceral and EA adding Isaac’s voice to the game, because in the original Dead Space Isaac never spoke wh…

From http://news.cnet.com/8301-31021_3-20060227-260.html A group of hackers says it is planning another wave of cyberattacks against Sony in retaliation for its handling of the PlayStation Network breach. An observer of the Internet Relay Chat channel used by the hackers told CNET today that a third major attack is planned this weekend against Sony's Web site. The people involved plan to publicize all or some of the information they are able to copy from Sony's servers, which could include customer names, credit card numbers, and addresses, according to the source. Walmart and Amazon have both already discounted the price of the much hyped first person shooter PS3 and 360 versions to $41.96. For Walmart that includes in store and online purchases. No news on whether this is permanent or just for the time being. via Thrifty Nerd Tweet This Post View the full article
