A video has been uploaded by Youtube user kick755 that shows him playing Dead Space 2 with Kinect and a Wii remote in his right hand. In the video, Isaac Clarke responds what seems to be perfectly to kick755′s movements, mirroring him exactly. If this video is legit, it does help to prove that games that are not sports or recreation types can respond well to Kinect. via KinectHacks View the full article

  2. An onrush of condemnation and criticism kept the SOPA and PIPA acts from passing earlier this year, but US lawmakers have already authored another authoritarian bill that could give them free reign to creep the Web in the name of cybersecurity. As congressmen in Washington consider how to handle the ongoing issue of cyberattacks, some legislators have lent their support to a new act that, if passed, would let the government pry into the personal correspondence of anyone of their choosing. H.R. 3523, a piece of legislation dubbed the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (or CISPA for short), has been created under the guise of being a necessary implement in Americ…

  10. Fans and newbies of Sid Meier’s long running RTS series, Civilization will be able to get their hands on the Facebook version of the game sometime this summer. In an interview with CNN regarding Civ World, Meier opened about what the social version of the game can do that playing over the PC cannot. “We really weren’t looking to make a quote-unquote ‘Facebook game’. We were looking at what does Facebook bring us that is unique, that we can leverage and take advantage of with ‘Civilization’-style game play. What was really intriguing to us was being able to emphasize cooperative game play, which was something that really hadn’t been a major part of ‘Civilization’ up to …

  12. Today’s Fail of the Day is being brought to you by previous Fail of the Week winner, Fox News. Every now and then Fox News decides to take step out of the daily national and worldwide news and try something different, like writing about video games that are considered “controversial”. Take Bulletstorm for example. Fox News claimed that playing Bulletstorm will make you rape women and that the “possibly worst video game ever” is a bad influence on today’s youthful fragile minds. What could be more fail-tacular than their ground breaking study on Bulletstorm? According Fox News, Duke Nukem is taking “sexism” to a whole new level in Duke Nukem Forever and that we should…

  13. This Fail of the Day is being brought to you by Konami. Last week, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow DLC Reverie found it’s way onto the PSN in North America to the surprise of fans considering that no release date was announced concerning the PS3 version of Reverie. Turns out Konami made an error and the content was never suppose to be released in North America which is why there is now a delay with the European version which should have hit their PSN on March 30. To make matters even more embarrassing, Konami cannot take it down. Producer David Cox stated over Twitter in response to an angry European gamer, “put up there in error and it’s too late to take it down. I symp…

  14. News about the new under developement title exclusively for the Kinect, Rise of Nightmares has been rather quiet since Sega announced the horror game at the Tokyo Game Show in 2010. Sega can now thank the ESRB for not only letting the plot out of the bag, but also doing so in the “breast” describing way possible. According to the ESRB description of the game, Rise of Nightmare will can contain: “This is a horror-adventure game in which players assume the role of an American tourist who must rescue his wife from a deranged scientist. From a first-person perspective, players use brass knuckles, knives, hatchets, and chainsaws to kill zombie-like creatures and disfigured mo…

  15. Like a phoenix, the Fail of the Week Award is rising out of the ashes to bring to you another fail-rific recap of all things fail in the gaming industry. This week’s contenders are the “countless sequels, prequels, special editions, we want your money” Activision and the “we love to do reports on things we know absolutely nothing about like video games” Fox News. Let’s stand the competition side by side and get the full details in this week’s Fail of the Week showdown. Activision Fail After announcing that the Guitar Hero franchise is done along with True Crime, Activision was slapped in the face by analysts who said they did it all themselves. via Fox News "Pittsburgh police say a man tried to carjack a plainclothes officer near filming for the latest Batman movie -- and allegedly told him it was part of the script. Detective Robert DiGiacomo was in an unmarked vehicle around 7:15 p.m. Saturday, looking for a suspect in an assault. That's when police say a man opened the car door, sat down and told the officer to get out. The officer drew his gun and ordered the suspect, 21-year-old Micah Calamosca, out of the car. He says the suspect told him he was part of filming for "The Dark Knight Rises" and that taking the vehicle was in the script. Calamosco was taken into custody and faces a charge of robbery…

Bethesda took to their Twitter today to annouce that they are working on a fix for the buggy patch. “We’re aware some folks are having New Vegas save issues . 23. Activision sure doesn’t waste time. They may have nailed the coffin shut for Guitar Hero and True Crime, however Activision confirmed that Family Guy and Spiderman will both be getting games sometime this year. Comfirmed today by Activision’s Eric Hirshberg was this little piece of news and that they will also be adding another Cabela’s hunting game to the mix as well as games for the final Transformers movie, Transformers 3 and X-Men: First Class.
