Its finally been confirmed, with new area's and bosses(2 new bosses to be exact), though it also uses GFWL(not a deal breaker but I would just rather it didn't, I don't like having to go through both steam and GFWL just to play Batman Arkham City). I'll probably picked it up again if only for a framerate above 10 in blighttown.

I feel like I might be behind the power curve, but I just got a beta key, and I'm downloading it now. I'll keep you guys updated when I get it all installed. If anyone else has it, I'll give you my email or battle.net id if the friend system is working.

Creator of Leisure Suit Larry, Al Lowe is doing an AMA on Reddit right now http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/s8u88/i_am_al_lowe_creator_of_leisure_suit_larry_ama/ If you're unfamiliar with LSL it was one of the greater point and click games out there, very adult themed and hilarious. Or at least it was when I was 9 or 10 years old. They've got a Kickstarter going to remake the original right now, check it! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/leisuresuitlarry/make-leisure-suit-larry-come-again?ref=live

For those of you looking to play RPG's the way they used to be, you should check out Echoes of Eternia on Kickstarter. Looks like the old school Final Fantasy games. Linky

Link to site For those of you that don't know, Two Guys from Andomeda was the duo that created the Space Quest games. They disappeared for quite some time and all of a sudden decided to get back together again and create a new 'Spaceventure'. I don't know if it will be the next Space Quest game, or something entirely new, but either way, I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am. Doesn't sound like they are going to jump on board the Kickstarter bandwagon. At least not yet anyways. I realize I may be showing my age by getting excited for all these old games, but who cares, they were what made me the gamer I am today.

Welcome and thank you for checking out Rodina, our indie game which is currently under development. Rodina is a space exploration RPG inspired by games like Freelancer, The Elder Scrolls series, Deus Ex and System Shock. The game is still early in development, but we thought you might be interested in seeing our progress so far. http://www.elliptic-games.com/index.shtml

  10. Apparently Steam accidentally released it early, so Uber Entertainment decided to just go with it and leave it up. The executive producer had this to say on twitter: https://twitter.com/#!/ekanaut/status/192369061722734593 Only a day early, but still kind of funny. It's free to play http://store.steampowered.com/app/104700/

  11. Microsoft has reaffirmed that maligned PC service Games for Windows - Live service is here to stay. Can we at least ditch the hyphen? Quizzed by NeoGamr about possible discontinuation (via Rock, Paper, Shotgun), Microsoft responded: "Answer is no." And continued: "Microsoft continues to support the Games for Windows platform, but we are making new investments in Metro style games. To this end, and "for the core PC gamer", Microsoft launched Age of Empires Online and Microsoft Flight. Count yourselves lucky. http://www.shacknews...-all-your-games This is something that for some reason has never crossed my mind when buying games on Steam. I would flip if my account was banned. It's bad enough I don't actually own a physical copy of my games. This is defintiely something I'll think about before purchasing games in the future.

We are very proud to present the debut trailer for Reset. Everything you see in the trailer is straight from the in-game engine, no up-ressed textures, geometry or effects. What you see is what you will get. Except hopefully a little bit better since we’re not even in alpha yet. This is however a big milestone for us, and we are going to be concentrating more on the gameplay side of things next. Ladies and gentlemen, Theory Interactive presents, Reset Debut trailer. http://reset-game.net/

Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today announced the free Portal 2 DLC titled "Perpetual Testing Initiative" will be available for the PC and Mac on May 8th. The "Perpetual Testing Initiative" allows players to easily create, share, and play Portal 2 puzzles. The Initiative comes with a simplified puzzle maker that allows that creation of mind-bending puzzles without ever leaving the game. The puzzle maker can directly publish maps to the Steam Workshop where users can browse, vote on, and select to play them. Selected puzzles will automatically be downloaded and ins…

  22. The last game that American McGee's studio, Spicy Horse, released was Alice: Madness Returns. It looks like their next project will follow that lead, taking a heroine from a classic children's story and twisting it just a bit. This time, Red Riding Hood is up for the American McGee treatment. Akaneiro: Demon Hunters takes the tale and reimagines it in Japan during the Edo period. Spicy Horse has released a few images on its Twitter feed and Facebook page, but actual game details are still a ways away. We know that it's an action RPG, and judging from the image featured on the game's site (above) not to mention the title itself, Ms. Hood will be joined by a few deadly pals…
