  3. Nintendo is adding two Nintendogs 3DS bundles to it's growing lineup of available 3DS bundles this holiday season. Nintendogs = Cats: French Bulldog and New Friends and the Nintendogs: Toy Poodle and New Friends are both retailing for $169.99 respectively. Hopefully if you are looking into purchasing either bundle for someone on your list they happen to be female, because these specific 3DS bundles are only available in pink. via Joystiq Click here to view the article
  4. 2010's GoldenEye 007 that came out on the Nintendo Wii will be getting a HD remake for the the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Activision made the announcement after several ongoing rumors were spreading that the company would announce the game at this year's Comic Con. GoldenEye 007: Reloaded is being built with a new game engine to deliver better graphics and better game play than the Wii version. Activision also stated that the game will be be compatible with the Playstation Move and they are looking towards a Fall 2011 release. via Press Release Click here to view the article
  5. Epic Games has announced that Gear of War 3 will support 3D and as a result the highly anticipated shooter has to run at a lower resolution but insists that the graphics difference is not a big deal. "It's a little bit jaggier in certain areas. Instead of 720p you're at five something," said Executive Gears Producer Rob Fergusson. He further explained that the idea to make Gears of War 3 3D friendly came a bit late in the development stage. "It was something that came in really late in our process. It wasn't something where we said, OK, we're going to design the game from the ground up for 3D. It was more of a post-process 3D, where we're like, OK, certain things need to be adjusted, but for the most part it generally works." Fergusson was also loose lipped about the next Xbox technology and confirmed that the next console from Microsoft will support 3D technology like it's rival, the Playstation 3. "As you look forward, in the next XDKs [Xbox Development Kit] coming out of the Xbox, it'll have more support for 3D or more higher quality for native support for 3D. We're supporting the current state of the art for Xbox. Moving forward, the Xbox will be able to take it further." via Eurogamer Click here to view the article
  6. Nintendo's President, Satoru Iwata has confirmed that Nintendo is no longer making a profit off of the handheld 3DS and as a result him and other top Nintendo Executives were given a pay cut to the tune of half their current salary. Iwata's confirmation comes just days after rumors began swirling that the handheld king was quickly losing money as the 3DS's price drop was announced. "First, since the launch of Nintendo 3DS, one of the things we have learned is that it has taken longer than we had originally expected in order for the appeal of this product to widely spread," Iwata stated while speaking to investors. He later added," I feel greatly accountable for having to make the markdown shortly after the launch, for having damaged our consumers' trust, for having made a significant impact upon the financial forecasts, for the annual dividend now being expected to be significantly less than originally expected and for now forecasting that there will be no interim dividend." Did Nintendo jump the gun with 3D software thinking it would be an instant hit or was the 3DS over priced in the first place? via 1up Click here to view the article
  7. It's only Tuesday and the rumor mill is already going strong with rumors coming from Nintendo and Microsoft's camps. E3 2012 came to a close a couple weeks ago and Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo each had their underwhelming and rather dull showcases for the upcoming year, but is there a reason why? More so on Nintendo's side? According to european website Non Specific Action, an insider claims that Nintendo held back during this year's E3 and that they had two huge Wii U games to announce, but decided at the last minute to hold off on those announcements, because they didn't want to take the buzz surrounding their upcoming console to jump ship to these new games. Both of these games are considered to be key franchises to Nintendo. I'm guessing Mario and Zelda if this rumor turns out to be true. What started out as a rumor for team Microsoft has officially turned into a Microsoft coverup regarding the Xbox 720. Late last week, a fishy document surfaced on the web claiming to contain information regarding Microsoft's Xbox 720 including a release date and specs. While it was tossed to the side, turns out that document is not so fishy after all. Microsoft has taken ownership of the document and asked that the original posting website take all information down regarding their highly secret next console. According to Tech Radar details in this document included the name Xbox 720, a 1080p 3D supporting Kinect, a blu-ray drive, and a release date of the 2013 holiday season. The Silent Hill HD Collection contains HD versions of Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3. via Joystiq Click here to view the article

I took into consideration feedback from how past giveaways have been run and I think I came up with something this year that will please everyone. Participants In order to participate you have to be a member of the forums here at Gamercide, not just a contributor or viewer of our online streaming. Register You must send me a PM here or an email to siren@gamercide.org with your Gamercide name and what systems you own; consoles, handhelds, and if your PC is capable of handling small or large games. All participants must have their names into me by December 21st. Any names received after that will not count. From December 31st until January 2nd there will be a preview post of the prizes, except for the Grand Prize and the Gamercide Staff Bundle. If there are any prizes that you already have, you can send me a PM or an email to let me know that you already have that prize and I will not include for that prize. You can win multiple times this year. Past years, when your name was pulled for a prize in a category such as Xbox 360 prizes, you were done in that category. Not this year! Each participant will have their name put in the Grand Prize and Gamercide Staff Bundle drawing. Again, you will not know what these prizes are until the evening of the Giveaway! Past years we have given away items such as a Netbook and a gaming PC! Bitching, moaning (except for pleasurable moaning at the sight of the awesome prizes) will not be tolerated. This year you are given the chance to preview and opt out of prizes that you already own. If you fail to send me a message with what prizes you are opting out of this year due to already owning them during the preview days, then it is your own damn fault and you are stuck with it. When you win a prize it is up to you, to get in contact with the person who donated the prize and exchange information. If there are any problems, feel free to PM me or send me an email. Donators If you are donating this year, please send me a PM or email siren@gamercide.org with what your donation or donations are by December 30th. Prizes There will be two "hats" this year. One containing the prizes and the other containing the names. I will pull from the prize "hat" first, name "hat" second. The last two prizes that will be given away this year are the Gamercide Staff Bundle and the Grand Prize. Make sure to pay attention to the forums or follow me on Twitter @SirenAssassin for updates regarding the Annual Gamercide Giveaway! Good luck to everyone this year
  13. Me too. Uwe Boll just tarnished video game related movies for me.
  14. Actor Tom Hardy who most recently played a very well done rendition of Bane in Dark Knight Rises' has been cast as Sam Fisher in the upcoming Splinter Cell movie being produced by Ubisoft Motion Productions with the help of Regency Productions. The movie; which is still in it's infancy stage, has not been given a date for when production is expected to begin. Also announced from the Ubisoft camp is that Michael Fassbender will be starring in the upcoming Assassin's Creed film which is slated to start production in the summer of 2013. Fassbender starred in numerous movies such as Inglourious Bastards as Lt. Archie Hicox and X-Men First Class where he played Magneto. Fassbender is also known for his roles played in a few tv series such as the epic HBO miniseries Band of Brothers and British tv series Hex. Fassbender even lended his voice to Fable III as Logan; the older brother of the main character. via Variety and Eurogamer

GameStop tweeted a huge deal if you need to purchase a Nintendo 3DS this holiday season for that someone special on your list. With the purchase of a 3DS or 3DS XL, you will receive 2 free games! Before you go putting on your Santa hat and grabbing your keys and credit card, there is a catch. Those two free games are Steel Diver and your choice of a Nintendogs game. No word on when this deals end, so if you have a younger gamer on your list who is asking for some 3DS hardware, you might want to take advantage of this deal before it's gone.
  16. If you picked up Nintendo's latest console offering the Wii U and are a fan of the Metro series, don't expect to see a Metro game on the console...ever. Metro: Last Light developer 4A Games slapped Nintendo right across their already chapped butt cheeks, by calling the console's CPU "horrible". Speaking to NowGamer, 4A Games Chief Technical Officer Oles Shishkovtsov, shared his very blatant thoughts about Nintendo's newest console by stating, "'The Wii U has a horrible, slow CPU". Fellow 4A games employee Huw Benyon echoed the same response saying that they had hoped to work something out with the console, but the impact on the overall quality "wasn't worth pursuing". The Wii U debuted here in North America on November 18th and so far it has been met with mostly negative reviews including reports of lag issues, a huge day one update that had potential to damage the Wii U if the download is interrupted, and poor graphic output.
  17. What game are you currently playing? I was playing Borderlands 2 like a mad man. However, Gearbox decided they were going to dictate how their fans should play their games. They lost sight of what's fun, and steered the franchise into a seemingly MMO direction. Balancing their non-competitive game, and directing them on the 'correct' ways to farm. I still have some love for them, but I think it's out of the slim chance that they'll realize their mistakes and rectify them. Wake up GB! It's not too late. What game are you looking forward to that has yet to release? Grand Theft Auto Cinco! Ohmahgerduguise! It's been entirely too long since there was an open world, free roam style game. It's exactly what this community needs. People get older and naturally drift apart, but there is a big handful of us that have been close friends for near seven years. It tears me up that we got this far, and now we decide to let life interfere. It's hard as hell finding good friends that you not only trust, but look forward to seeing on an almost daily basis. That's my GC family. I love you guys and girls. Sock life in the grill and come back to PK! If you could be anything in the world what would it be and why. Philanthropist. Having an impact on people's lives in such a positive way has to feel good. I like feeling good and I like to see people smiling and laughing. It also assumes I'm already super wealthy, so all the work is already out of the way. Work sucks the life from you if you're not enjoying something along the way. What is your biggest gaming pet peeve when playing with others? People who can't STFU, and feel the need to constantly talk. I don't know if it's a condition of mine or what, but when someone drones on and on, it all bleeds into one sound and it aggravates the hell out of me. When you aren’t gaming, what are you doing? Reading a book, surfing the internet, cycling, dead weights, spending time with my pup, Jasmine or talking to my friends who use Gamercide's mumble server. Imagine that you live on a farm raising turkeys. A local bigwig chooses one of your turkeys for Thanksgiving dinner. You go to collect the turkey and turkey takes off running. You back him into a corner and he pulls a knife on you and says, "You touch my giblets, I will cut you". What do you do? I immediately become his agent. A talking turkey? Holy shit! I'd be rich. Imagine all the endorsement deals. You'd see Angry Turkey all over. He'd have commercials, his own TV show and at least 2 movie deals. I'd probably kick his ass, too, for pulling a knife on me, because screw that turkey. You are writing a novel about a love story gone wrong. Billy caught his wife Suzy in bed with his brother. Billy is now planning on cutting off his brother's peepee and stuffing it down his wife's throat while she sleeps as revenge You want to get publishers to take interest in it, so you have to write up a description of the novel in 10 words. What do you write? (Wow, Siren! lol) Family love triangle to rival Fatal Attraction. Shit is cray! In 5 words or less, describe your gamer self I will troll you. <3
