Battle Of The Dark Lords

I do see your point though Chris, where is that true "line in the sand" where one ceases to exist and the other takes over.

Thank you.

I just feel that Campbell's Mask theory cannot really be applied here in this essence because, in Vader's case, it was essentially a complete takeover. You can't compare pre-Vader and post-Vader, ala Batman/Bruce Wayne, because for Batman/Bruce there is a constan ebb and flow of personalities and lifestyles whereas Vader was a complete transformation of sorts.

It's not like Vader is moonlighting as a nice guy, pretending to be a lounge singer in the Tatooine Cantina, while at nighttime he fills the roll of a powerful Sith Lord. (Although, that does seem like a pretty kickass idea. LoL) :)

We do have to agree here though that Riddle always way malicious and evil. There was never any good portrayed in him like there was in Anakin, so I don't see the transformation of one psyche to another, but more a progression of the original intent.

Vader would win hands down. Wood catches on fire, right? Heyo! Wands are made of wood. Force lightning and shabam, no more wand! Game over.

I don't think Vader can use force lightning given that most of his body is mechanical. . . but that's a different topic.

That's silly Bogey.

The wands are obviously magically enchanted so they don't catch fire

yet they easily break in half.... thats kinda stupid no?

Exactly! If you can break it in half with your hand, then it could catch on fire. And I forgot who said Vader couldn't use lightning... he just has to make his hand short-circuit since it's mechanical and bam, lightning

If his hand can short circuit than so can the rest of his body. :D

when force lightning is created, it's not like a projectile that shoots from the hands. It is caused by using the midichlorians to excite the particles in the air creating electricity. You "shoot" the lightning by further instructing the force which way to flow the electricity. Therefor Vader wouldn't harm himself by using force lightning as evidenced in empire strikes back as vader uses it while fighting Luke.

Shabam! Voldy has nothing on Vader.
