RC cars, machine guns, and grenades, oh my! Call of Duty: Black Ops is about to get it’s first map pack called, “First Strike” on February 1, 2011. The map pack will only be available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace upon release. No date for when the other platforms will receive it. The $15.00 First Strike map pack includes 4 multiplayer maps, “Discovery”, “Kowloon”, “Stadium”, and “Berlin Wall” while the zombie map is called “Ascension”. Activision has announced that George Romero, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robert Englund, Danny Trejo, and Michael Rooker are all in the “Call of the Dead” Zombies mode map for the latest piece of DLC for Call of Duty Black Ops, Escalation which is due out May 3 on the Xbox 360. Personally, I don't like the idea of monthly fees and games at all(why the only MMO I ever played was Guild Wars), but I have about 0 interest in MW3 anyway.

Five studios are now responsible for Activision’s Call of Duty franchise. Newly added Beachhead joins Treyarch, Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer, and Raven. Rumors have been swirling since the findmakarov.com countdown appeared. Fans of the shooter wondered if this was sign that their beloved franchise was going to be announcing Modern Warfare 3. Those rumors can be put to rest now, because the countdown is over and the reveal is a live action film made by a viral advertising company out of Canada who wanted to show Activision that their profitable series could be made into a movie. Kameo: Elements of Power, a colorful launch title for the Xbox 360 in 2005 almost had a followup with Kameo 2, but Rare cancelled the game in 2009 before it got off the ground.
