Gamers have been pouring into Metacritic to give their own reviews and score for Mass Effect 3 which just so happened to release at midnight. Unfortunately most of the reviews have been zeroes due to some fail worthy comments who apparently cannot stomach that you can have same sex relations in the game and astonishingly managed to beat a 20-40 hour game within 12 hours of release. This is just to merely serve as an embarrassment to the asshat cry babies in this world. *Caution ramblings below were not edited for spoilers or profane language. Read at your own risk* gayme3scenes “Daaaaaaaang! I ain’t know there was gay sex scenes in this game! I thought was gurrrbage…

Our very own Dateranoth, put together this handy guide for last minute shopping for the PC gamer on your list this year! Keyboards: A mechanical keyboard is always a nice addition for the PC gamer. One of the higher rated ones is the Razer Black Widow Ultimate: Amazon $112 Here is another option: http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/ . They sell a full arrangement of mechanical keyboard that are customizable. Plus they have detailed information on the different switches. No macro support, but they are all around great keyboards. Mice: I have to recommend the R.A.T. 7 (wired): Amazon $98 or the R.A.T. 9 (wireless): Amazon $134 . They have been around for a while and look like a tr…

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a highly praised game by both reviewers and gamers alike. Ask about the game and they will respond with stories about great combat experiences or the deep morals that tag along with a stellar plot. Ask these people about Deus Ex: HR’s boss battles, however, and you’ll get different reactions entirely, ranging from disgust to stories of how boring the fights were. Outside of the boss encounters, the game shines brightly, so it should come as no surprise that many have wondered how Eidos could go so wrong with one specific part of the game. As it turns out, Eidos didn’t go wrong with these bosses at all, as they didn’t even make the sequences; t…

In a gaming world where gamer stereotypes are abundant and the thought of being accused of not being a “hardcore” gamer would bring some to tears, you find a gem like this. An unidentified father threatened to “whoop” his young son over purchasing Mirror’s Edge and a purple controller all of which was a gift from his older brother. This all unfolded at a gaming retail store right in front of the manager Kristin Wolfe. Kristin who blogged about the incident after it happened said that the older brother who appeared to be around 15 had brought his younger brother into the store to buy him a game. She helped them pick out Mirror’s Edge because he wanted a game with a femal…

Sony confirmed on August 8th that Game Recording will be free regardless if you are subscribed to Playstation Plus or not. The recording feature will allow you to capture up to 15 minutes of game footage. On top of the capture feature you can share the game stream with a friend, and that friend can even take over and help you with the game. This is a step in the right direction, but this is a small step forward in contrast to a large step back. While you can record your game without Playstation Plus, you can't play multiplayer without a subscription. Click here to view the article

While most websites are getting together their top [enter random number here] gaming lists of 2011, I decided what better why to usher in a new year then to go over the list of disappointments from the gaming industry for the 2011 year. I doubt anybody will learn from their mistakes, but hey this gamer can hope. Right? (May contain spoilers for games that you have not played yet. You have been warned) Saint’s Row: The Third At the top of my list is Volition and THQ’s, Saint’s Row: The Third. I waited so long for this as did many fans of the series and then once I got my wanna be gangsta hands on it I was left saying, “What the f*#% did I just play?”. Between the high…

Speaking with Edge, Paul Cuisset creator of the upcoming Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade downloadable survival/horror title Amy, explains why they took a creative and bold turn by making the character Amy autistic. “It’s difficult to go very far into this because it’s tied to the story, and we want to keep some information confidential for now. As a player, you will learn and understand why Amy has this condition,” responded Cuisset when Edge asked why they decided to make Amy autistic. In Amy, you play as Lana, a woman who is protecting a young child with autism and also has powers that cannot be explained. As Lana, you have to help the 8 year old Amy escape a …

The new reboot entry into the Tomb Raider series is shaping up to be exactly what this dying franchise needs in order to stay afloat in a gaming world where so many once captivating series fade away. The latest pre-E3 trailer that Square Enix has released shows a very young Lara looking surprisingly more realistic instead of the huge boobed fantasy that we are use to seeing and extremely vulnerable as cries out in pain and glances into the horizon ahead of her. via Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

No, you read that correctly. After you unbox and setup your brand new Xbox One, there is an update. The mandatory update will need 15-20 minutes to fully download. The update addresses the system's firmware changes that were needed after the change of policies that occurred when fans moaned over several key features that were set to appear in the Xbox One. Unfortunately for the Xbox One consoles that were set to launch could not be tweaked to reflect those changes hence the need for the update. "We are optimising Xbox One so that the day one update is as fast as possible. While we're still finalising the details, we expect that the download will take between 15 and 20 min…

Diablo 3 or "D3" as many fans are dubbing it is getting ready to launch tomorrow May 15th to an antsy PC crowd. Meanwhile gamers on the console end have been waiting on word on whether on not Diablo 3 will see the light of day after Diablo makers Blizzard had posted job openings that appeared to make it seem like they wanted to test the waters with Diablo heading over the PS3 and or Xbox 360. Well anxious console gamers I hate to burst your bubble, but that was not entirely true and Blizzard has the perfect explanation. In an interview with Gamasutra, Blizzard's Jay Wilson said that they were kind of lying in order to gain more employees, but they still remain unsure a…

1. What’s the story behind your gamertag? My first car I got in high school was a blue 1995 Buick Skylark. No I do not have the car anymore. Sold it when the head gasket started leaking. I have been asked interesting things about where I got the name from, but very few have ever thought of the car. One of the most bizarre answers that someone gave for my gamertag would have to be if it was from Chip Skylark on the Fairly Oddparents.2. What game are you currently playing? Was playing Skyrim... Currently playing Skyrim... Will be playing Skyrim... So good and very addicting. Will probably only get better after I play some mods for it and eventually get Dawnguard. 3. What ga…
