While most websites are getting together their top [enter random number here] gaming lists of 2011, I decided what better why to usher in a new year then to go over the list of disappointments from the gaming industry for the 2011 year. You have been warned) Saint’s Row: The Third At the top of my list is Volition and THQ’s, Saint’s Row: The Third. I waited so long for this as did many fans of the series and then once I got my wanna be gangsta hands on it I was left saying, “What the f*#% did I just play?”. Between the high…

What? No Sazh?! That’s right, there is a rumor swirling about that we might not see one of the more popular figures from Final Fantasy XIII. Details from a Japanese magazine, Dengeki Playstation include news that Sazh won’t be appearing in the new Final Fantasy XIII-2. However, the magazine does say that according to a Square-Enix representative, “Final Fantazy XIII-2 will continue after the release, so look forward to later on.” Could it be that Sazh will be in future DLC for the game? I for one hope this rumor turns out to be false and that Sazh will be in the entire game. But DLC sounds exciting either way! I will update when I learn more info on this rumor. Written By…

  15. Developed by: Arrowhead Game Studios Published by: Paradox Interactive Platforms: PC Players: 1-4 Magicka has come a long way with all of the new updates and DLCs, but aside from the Magicka: Vietnam DLC, they’ve only been robes, items, and levels for the arena and versus modes. Now finally a true addition to the Adventure mode has been released. This isn’t a quick, challenging little map like Magicka: Vietnam either. There are three full chapters with checkpoints, bosses, and cutscenes. All the signature humor is there, with various areas, new and old, to explore. You start with none of your spellbook spells from the main adventure, but a few new ones await, such a…

  16. Developed by: Ubisoft Montreal Published by: Ubisoft Platforms: Xbox 360, PS3, PC (reviewed) Players: 1 offline with 8 player multiplayer It’s that time again, where we sharpen our hidden blades and get ready to brutally assassinate hundreds of inept guards in our quest for the truth. You once again take up the mantle of Ezio Auditore da Firenze, now an old man, but still every bit as capable as in his previous outings. The formula still holds true, and most of the features from Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood have returned. Main story missions are in Sequences, or chapters, and most of them have bonus objectives to complete for full synchronization (a better score). Almo…

88 miles per hour, a DeLoreon, stolen plutonium, 1.21 gigawatts, and a Flux Capacitor. Those are the things it takes for time travel to be possible. Thanks to Doc Brown we know this and understand it. Sort of. I mean, what the hell is a gigawatt anyway. I guess for the purposes of this review that’s neither here nor there. Just know this going in, Doc is in trouble and it’s up to you to control Marty and figure out what’s going on and save Doc. The game starts in a very familiar way, but with some subtle differences. Einstein is loaded in to the DeLoreon and sent 1 minute in to the future. This is where things that you thought you knew, go off the rails. Once y…

  18. UFC fans will have to wait to watch UFC fights on their Xbox 360 until December 20, because Microsoft announced that the app has been delayed. Microsoft did not say why the delay happened, but at least it will be available for the next pay per view fight. via Gaming Blend Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

  21. Those of you who have yet to install Bethesda’s recent patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on your Xbox 360 might want to wait. Gamers have flocked to the Skyrim forums and are expressing their outrage after many have discovered their game is just about unplayable after installing the update. Patch 1.2 went live yesterday and since then gamers have been complaining of bugs, quests not advancing, dragons still flying backwards, spells not working, not being able to play saved games, and the list goes on. 22. How does 26 Verizon Fios channels on the Xbox 360 sound for starting at $89.99 a month? What if I add that they are throwing in a free one year Gold subscription of Xbox Live and a free copy of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary? Didn’t think so. Microsoft announced those details in a brief explanation of how the Verizon services will tie into their upcoming Xbox Live TV service. Unfortunately the details are disappointing. Besides the 26 channels and the high prices, this offer is only available to customers who use Verizon Fios internet and TV services and the 26 channels will be based on the “customer’s TV package”. The unnamed channels will be Kinect enabled meanin…

  24. Citing a development source from Microsoft, Eurogamer is reporting that the next Kinect will be so accurate that it will be able to read lips. If that turns out to be true, it could not only be a huge improvement on the motion sensing device itself, but also a plus for gamers who are physically disabled and need to utilize more voice commands. According to the source, “Kinect 2 will be so powerful it will enable games to lip read, detect when players are angry, and determine in which direction they are facing.” The source is also claiming that it will be able to send more information to the next gen Xbox. ” It can be cabled straight through on any number of technologie…
