Movies and TV

So I finally saw Inception at home last night (don't ask, but I didn't download it). I'm a little confused. Great movie, but slightly confused. Anyone care to talk about the movie, specifically the ending? IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE, AND DON'T WANT TO READ SPOILERS, GTFO NOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!

You will fear the water, ice, and steam....

Randy Couture just took James Toney to school! For those who don't know, James Toney is a professional boxer with a record of 72 Wins (44 knockouts), 6 Losses (6 decisions), and 3 draws. He wanted to prove that MMA was for wimps and he talked a ton of smack. Randy ran a mixed martial arts clinic on him. He didn't stand a chance. Couture, at 47 years old, answered all the questions about whether or not a pro boxer would cut it in the cage by beating him a little over three minutes into the first round without a scratch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4DhFP3HYGE

Last night on Netflix, Karen and I finally got around to watching this flick. I wasn't sure what to expect. All I knew was that it had some of my favorite actors and the premise of 'Psi Warriors' in the milirary as always intrigued me. What I wasn't expecting was just how 'meta' a lot of the humor was with Ewan McGregor (if you're a Star Wars fan you'll get it.) and a lot of the dialogue was just plain WTF? It was seriously more fun than I even expected. On the Brian & Karen Movie Scale we give it a 4 out of 5 Stars. Quote: "Mother Earth, you're my life support system. As a soldier I must drink your blue water, live inside your red clay and eat your green skin. Help …

From the Director of Hero and House of Flying Daggers, Zhang Yimou. Looks visually impressive as usual from Yimou.

Written and Directed by Woody Allen, with an all star cast. Looks decent.

It's not a new flick, but . . . Hell I honestly don't know what to say about it. Just watch.

I watched this last night, and I thought it was pretty good. They are all up there in years, but it was a great action flick. The story wasn't bad either, but I can honestly say I didn't go see it for the compelling story. lol. I'd recommend it as a good action flick to anyone.

I like this show. It states at the beginning of the program that if Dave or Cody get into any life threatening situations, they do receive aid. So it's not quite Survivorman, but this show blows Man vs Wild out of the water, imo. These guys do showcase some real survival tactics from two different schools of thought. Both are equally effective. Cody Lundin is a hippie "primitive survival expert", and Dave Canterbury is a military trained, ex sniper who has some of the most popular survival videos on the net.

beyond sam's dream, i like where it's going. good to see ol' bill finally not biling things up. i was worried we'd never be able to reinstate his man card. all in all, strong opener. can't wait for sunday.

So Kotaku just posted this today concerning a bunch of new content starting September. http://m.kotaku.com/5610476/netflix-streaming-gets-a-nearly-billion-dollar-boost On a side note I just logged on gamercide using my phone and looks like there's a streamlined version for mobiles, I really like it.

Film looks absolutely amazing. Edgar Wright can't make a bad film in my mind, but he really did comic films a GREAT service with this one.

With a lackluster fight card, and Chael Sonnen talking enough smack about Anderson Silva to reach almost cartoonish, studio wrestling proportions, I wasn't all that excited to watch. Boy was I wrong. This was one of the most entertaining UFC's I've seen. Every fight delivered. Chael Sonnen put on a wrestling clinic against Silva by handily, and easily, winning four of the five rounds the fight was scheduled for. In no way did anyone expect the trash talking Sonnen to take the fight to the current champ the way he did. He completely dominated Silva, dragging him down to the ground and beating him up for four rounds, only to be caught in a triangle/turned into an arm bar a…

looks like we have 3 3d channels. just out of curiousity, what provider do you guys use and do they offer 3d? in the interest of full disclosure, i do not have a 3d set.

Saw two of my friends watching this at the same time, and decided to give it a try. I'm hooked. Quirky, silly and even funny. My kind of show. Anyone else watch it? It's on Netflix.
