June 23, 2011 - Valve, creators of bestselling game franchises (such as Half-Life, Portal, Left 4 Dead, and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), announced today that after four years and over 200 updates, its popular and critically-acclaimed online action game Team Fortress 2 (TF2) is now Free To Play (F2P). The F2P announcement comes as part of the "Über Update". Released today, it is the largest content pack delivered to TF2 since it shipped in 2007. What's up everyone! Long time, no see! So I finally got around to building myself a gaming rig. PK had linked me to another thread here, that ultimately helped me decide what to start with for Motherboard and processor. Everything I spend hours of research (google/youtube). This was my first ever build on my own and it was extremely intimidating, but after many hours and a broken bank account, I present to you my new beauty. 12. Independent developers RuneStorm (Viscera Cleanup Detail) and Flying Wild Hog (Shadow Warrior, Hard Reset) have been brought together via the Devolver Digital Cross Promotions Department to birth one of the more unique video game mash-ups ever – Viscera Cleanup Detail: Shadow Warrior. A free standalone mini-game, Viscera Cleanup Detail: Shadow Warrior takes place after Lo Wang’s first big katana battle against the yakuza in Shadow Warrior as a hapless janitor from Zilla Enterprises is tasked with cleaning up the bloody mess. “When our team first saw Viscera Cleanup Detail on Steam Greenlight we absolutely loved with the idea of a person out there that had to clean up af…

The major additions to the game include a new tutorial adventure. This walks the player through a series of new minor missions before recommending a difficulty level for the main adventure based on their performance. Players will rescue a wounded knight, learn game controls and have the opportunity to get to grips with the combat and alchemy mechanics. Alongside the tutorial adventure comes the Arena, a new gameplay mode which is separate from the main adventure. Geralt is thrust into a gladiatorial arena in an unnamed town somewhere in the Northern Kingdoms and must fight to the death in an attempt to win gold and valuable items. He'll confront a variety of foes -- inclu…

So, I finished this today. I'd say the reviewers that scored it in the higher margins nailed it. The first act drags on pretty bad, and it seems like a lot of nothing is going on, but after that it picks up considerably. Some of the puzzles are a little bit of a stretch, but the make sense once you figure them out. I also liked that you could skip most of the mini games. I'm not a fan so I just skipped them all. Overall, a decent adventure game. It's a shame that it ends were it does. You really are just getting to like the main character when the credits roll. However, they are suppose to be releasing #2 in Sept. If you like adventure games, this is one worth picki…

So, I have pretty much been avoiding this game line since the first one, but I have had my eye on this latest title since it released. Reluctance to try kept me away, but I finally bought it on sale. I've only played the first level, but I have to say, it's a pretty damn fun game. I'll probably stream some of it tomorrow. Anyone else played it?

I wanted to start a topic here about the latest game I've been playing. Just Cause 2 is and awesome game for anyone who loves free roam. The game is filled full of over the top actions and abilities, but delivers a very fun, action packed experience. Just the small things in this game draw you in and make you want to play. The PC version also sports a great ability to switch seamlessly between keyboard/mouse control and the XBOX 360 Controller for Windows. Everything right down to the context sensitive menu items changes to match the setup you are using on the fly. So this way, I can be running and gunning one minute with the keyboard and mouse for accuracy and the next …

Perry recently told us about a mod called Gifts of the Outsider that imports the magic powers from Dishonored into Skyrim: Blink, Possession, Bend Time, Devouring Swarm, Wind Blast, and Void Gaze. I decided to the use the mod not just for its powers, but also to reenact the plotof Dishonored in Skyrim: the tale of an honorable man seeking revenge after being framed for a crime he didn’t commit. It’ll be just like Dishonored, only in Skyrim, and starring a furry woman with a tail. Just call me Khorvo. http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/08/04/mod-of-the-week-gifts-of-the-outsider-for-skyrim/
