  1. For those of you who cannot get enough of your Xbox Live representation of yourself via your XBL avatar, Microsoft has made it possible for you to never have to lose sight of your little mini me. Available for purchase is an avatar Fathead. Fathead is a popular poster brand that focuses on making otherwise boring wall posters come to life and appear to pop off your wall. Fathead sells numerous sports atheletes and other wall decals including video game themed Fatheads from Halo and more. Now your avatar can add their name to that list. An avatar Fathead that you can pose in various positions will set you back $79.99 – $149.99 depending on the size you choose. Also av…

  2. While the hardcore fans of the long time running survival horror series might not be happy with recent announcements regarding Slant Six’s take on the Resident Evil world in their entry into the series, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, a new trailer has surfaced showcasing the return and possible demise of Leon Kennedy. Confused? Don’t worry. Slant Six claims in the latest edition of OXM that depending on how you play the game you can kill fan favorite characters changing Resident Evil history and this in no way is a “numbered” Resident Evil game. via Examiner Tweet This Post View the full article

  5. What a scam. I've never tried it myself, but my brother in law likes to tell me how good it is. I'm wondering if I should share this link with him now. Xbox 360 users who own the motion based Kinect are in for a treat today. An update for Netflix has gone live allowing Kinect users to their hands and voice to navigate through the many menus of the popular movie and television show database. Do not get to excited yet to toss your controller aside and cuddle up on the couch with a bubbly beverage of your choice. According a Microsoft Representative who spoke with Joystiq, while all of the titles are Kinect enabled now, there are only a select number of titles that are available from the Netflix Kinect dashboard that can use both voice command and hand gestures. You can find these as “recommended” movies and shows. via J…

  8. John McAfee, the man behind the anti-virus name, says he's being bugged by Belize's Gang Suppression Unit. His home was raided by four different arms of armed Belize official organizations, including the GSU and the police. At least that is what is being reported by Channel 5 in Belize. When I say "his home," this appears to consist of nine houses and is the site of the Belize Ecological Foundation. The Belize Gang Suppression Unit's press release declares that McAfee, 66, was there with his 17-year-old girlfriend (referred to as a minor) and five security guards. The GSU reportedly says it discovered 10 firearms and 5 air rifles, all allegedly unlicensed. It also claims …

  10. Here's a long, but good article on GPUs from Techspot. http://www.techspot.com/article/650-history-of-the-gpu/ The evolution of the modern graphics processor begins with the introduction of the first 3D add-in cards in 1995, followed by the widespread adoption of the 32-bit operating systems and the affordable personal computer. The graphics industry that existed before that largely consisted of a more prosaic 2D, non-PC architecture, with graphics boards better known by their chip’s alphanumeric naming conventions and their huge price tags. 3D gaming and virtualization PC graphics eventually coalesced from sources as diverse as arcade and console gaming, military…

Two major British retailers are threatening to ban the selling of games tied to Steam and are demanding that publishers remove Steam from their game or suffer the consequences. According to MCV, the two retailers who are unknown at this point are claiming that Steam is ruining the PC market and that Valve has created a monster. One of the bosses even had the following to say. “If we have a digital service, then I don’t want to start selling a rival in-store… “Publishers are creating a monster – we are telling suppliers to stop using Steam in their games.” What do you think? Has Valve created a monster and in doing so, have they begun destroying the market of PC games? …

Oh, I saw a teaser trailer for Fallout four. Didn't link to it because it might be fake, since it doesn't say that "war, war never changes". If it's fake, it's a pretty dam crappy fake.

It appears that Marcus Fenix will be searching for his scientist father in the highly anticipated final chapter where the Fenix story unfolds in the upcoming shooter from Epic Games, Gears of War 3. The full trailer will air on May 28 during the Champion League’s Final after the final whistle. 17. http://www.naturalnews.com/032815_sunscreen_chemicals.html Here's #1 #1) The FDA refuses to allow natural sunscreen ingredients to be used in sunblock / sunscreen products It's true: If you create a truly natural sunscreen product using exotic botanicals with powerful sunscreen properties, you will never be able to market it as a "sunscreen" product. That's because the FDA decides what can be used as sunscreen and what can't, regardless of what really works in the real world. And there are really only two natural ingredients the FDA has allowed to be sold as sunscreen: Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Any other non-chemical sunscreen ingredients, if sold as "sunscreen," w…

  24. Tim Schafer is no longer the king of Kickstarter, he handed over his crown to a company called Pebble Technology. They're making an E-Ink display, fully customizable watch called Pebble. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/597507018/pebble-e-paper-watch-for-iphone-and-android?ref=category The watch is fully customizable and works with both Android and iOS. You can do everything from change your watch display to check your text messages, track your distance, control your music and much more. What's crazy about this is, they're almost to $4 million and still have 31 days left to go. This could easily jump to $5 or even $10 million. Check it out.

  25. This is pretty cool. Guy is putting usb powered external hard drives in classic game cartridges. Makes for some nice nostalgia. An enterprising retro gaming fan has created what could be the ultimate external hard drive: a Legend of Zelda NES cartridge. If you have the same fond memories of Link, Ganon, finding the pieces of the Triforce, and figuring out where the heck the next secret staircase is that I do, you may be interested in this. Modder 8BitMemory is selling various one-off copies of his NES External Hard Drive, which actually isn't for the NES at all. Instead, it's a genuine 1TB external USB hard disk for PCs and Macs. It just happens to be inside Ze…
