Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli made a rather interesting comment over Twitter when asked why Crytek's upcoming story about the fictional character, Marius Titus who becomes a leader in the Roman Army isn't appearing on Sony's Playstation 4 and remains an exclusive to the Xbox One. The comment was made after Yerli was asked if Ryse: Son of Rome could run at 1080p and if would have "hurdles" on the PS4 and he responded by stating that, "Yes as choice wasnt based on a hurdle. Its for efficiency as no perceived visual difference, as final output is 1080p". Keep in mind that Rome is run at 900p, which is "upscaled to 1080p" according to OXM. This announcement comes after many gamers h…

  5. Mario, a character that has been around since 1981′s classic Donkey Kong and not to mention the face of Nintendo, has fallen under attack from one of the mosted hated groups ever comprised of people who need a mental examination, PETA. Instead of concentrating their efforts on animal poachers or saving the rain forest, PETA has decided that Mario is a fur hating, animal killer all because of the popular Tanooki suit that resembles a tan raccoon. PETA has even launched a Mario Kills Tanooki website that depicts the fan favorite character taking a real like Tanuki raccoon dog, holding it’s decapitated head, and dancing in it’s blood while the head is some how crying despit…

  6. The team at Access Games who are responsible for the 2010 release of the cheesey and quite possibly some of the worse graphics of the modern console era, Deadly Premonition, are looking for help. What kind of help do you ask? Unfortunately, they want to make another game and do not have the financial resources to do it. Swery, the Director at Access Games put out a public call for help on their website and states that “I promise I’ll make something good!” and “I’ll work real hard!” among other one liners that are just begging to be made fun of. If he is relying on those cries for help, Access Games might be waiting awhile before a publisher jumps on that “hit making” tr…

  8. In an effort to prove that GameStop is sorry for their recent tampering with new PC copies of Deus Ex: HR, the gaming retail giant is offering a $50 gift card and a “Buy Two Get 1 Free” used game offer. Keep in mind gamers that this tear jerker offer requires you to spend money for a 1 free used game and the paltry gift card is not enough to buy a new game at the usual $59.99 asking price. via Ars Technica Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

The unnamed individual compares the supposed realistic upcoming shooter Battlefield 3 to what he calls “fake” games like Halo all because of the lights and lasers that are on the weapons that you use in the game. I’M RETIRED AFTER 15 YEARS SWAT AND CAN TELL YOU THE TAC LIGHTS AND LASERS ARE BEING IMPROPERLY USED AND MAKE WHAT HAS BEEN A FAIRLY REALISTIC EXPERIENCE SEEM LIKE HALO OR SOME FAKE GAME. I WAS ISSUED AN MP5 AND MADE HUNDREDS OF ENTRIES USING THAT WEAPON AS MY PRIMARY AND HAD MY KIMBER TLE 1911 .45 WITH TAC…

  15. Imagine this kind of math. War is raging all around you and you have one bullet left in your clip. You fire that last shot as enemies are getting closer. You feel for extra clips, but cannot find any. You throw down your weapon and pull out your pistol as a last resort. You know you already fired two shots and your pistol can only handle six bullets at a time. How many bullets are left? If you said four bullets than congratulations, UK’s Secretary of State for Education Michael Gove would be proud. Gove is currently pushing the UK’s government to allow video games into the classroom, because he feels that kids can relate more to figuring out equation involving one …

At a price of $4.99 from the iTunes App store some players may feel it's a bit steep of a price since the average App runs around $0.99 -$2.99. 22. Ubisoft brought to the gaming community a brand new vision, “From Dust” that released on July 27 for the Xbox Live Arcade and it also released on August 17 for the PC. PC gamers who have been waiting for the game to release since it was announced at E3 in 2010 are now utterly outraged over what appears to be downright lying on behalf of Ubisoft. “We are aware of some confusion over the inclusion of DRM in the release of From Dust on PC. To prevent any on-going confusion we would like to clarify From Dust PC will release with DRM requiring a one-time only online activation. After which you will be able to play the game offline. Leaked documents have surfaced for a Fallout 4 voice acting casting call and also reveal that the game is set in Boston. The casting call project which is code-named "Institute" does not officially mention the name Fallout 4 in anyway, however one glance at these documents make it pretty obvious what they are referring to. Among things discussed in these leaked documents includes the Fallout staple quote; "War. War never changes", references Boston as where the game will take place, and also mentions other Fallout locations such as the Commonwealth which was formerly known as Massachusetts. The casting call also lists that they are looking for a radio dj named Travis Mile…

However with a recent statement being made by Nintendo that the Wii U will not be have a DVD or Blu-Ray functionality, the Wii U is shaping up to be another child’s toy or retirement home reject. “Wii U does not have DVD or Blu-ray playback capabilitie.
