  2. It appears that the much rumored Halo movie is back on the front burner of the rumor mill after a french press release claims that Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks are backing the film set to release in 2012. The press release which happens to be for the Forerunner based Halo novel, Halo: Cryptum clearly states, “ A film adaptation is set in 2012. It will be conducted jointly by two heavyweights of American cinema: Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks.” Does this mean that a Halo movie might release around the same time as Halo 4 in winter 2012? Or is this just simply another rumor that needs to be put to rest until Microsoft steps forward and says, “yes a Halo film is being p…

Perhaps one of the most interesting rumors surrounding the still rumored and not confirmed next Xbox is a recent rumor that the next console will not allow the useage of used games. This nasty little rumor began on Kotaku when they cited their sources that claimed that whenever the Xbox 720 is released, the console will automatically say a big fat no when the user puts a used game into the tray. Before the subscribers of Gamefly and lovers of used games at Gamestop get their panties into a bunch, the Xbox 720 itself hasn’t even been confirmed or mentioned by Microsoft, let alone this little rumor. So take a big deep breath and go back to playing. via IGN Tweet This Po…

  10. It’s only Tuesday and the rumor mill is already going strong with rumors coming from Nintendo and Microsoft’s camps. E3 2012 came to a close a couple weeks ago and Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo each had their underwhelming and rather dull showcases for the upcoming year, but is there a reason why? More so on Nintendo’s side? According to european website Non Specific Action, an insider claims that Nintendo held back during this year’s E3 and that they had two huge Wii U games to announce, but decided at the last minute to hold off on those announcements, because they didn’t want to take the buzz surrounding their upcoming console to jump ship to these new games. What’s in a name? Well not much if you are referring to Nintendo’s upcoming console the Wii U. After complaints that the company has received since the announcement of the Wii U, rumors have been spreading across the interwebs that Nintendo is considering changing the name of the console. Sources close to Nintendo are claiming that Nintendo is worried that there might be confusion over the name of their newest console like with the numerous other different named DS handhelds. Nintendo has not confirmed anything regarding a possible name change so we will have to leave this one at the rumor door, but I do wonder if they thought maybe about changing the name to Nintendo R…

The rumor mill is running rampant today after an interview between Italy's Xbox 360 Magazine and Silent Hill: Downpour developer Vatra Games' Radek Marek over whether or not the survival horror game that is due to hit shelves sometime in Fall 2011 will have mulitplayer. During the interview that explores the environment and enemies within Silent Hill: Downpour, Italy's Xbox 360 Magazine asked Marek about the possibility of mulitplayer being included in Downpour. The answer the magazine received is interesting, but also a little confusing. "At the moment there will be no multiplayer modes in Silent Hill: Downpour, but Konami are investigating a separate chapter devoted en…
