Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a highly praised game by both reviewers and gamers alike. Ask about the game and they will respond with stories about great combat experiences or the deep morals that tag along with a stellar plot. Ask these people about Deus Ex: HR’s boss battles, however, and you’ll get different reactions entirely, ranging from disgust to stories of how boring the fights were. Outside of the boss encounters, the game shines brightly, so it should come as no surprise that many have wondered how Eidos could go so wrong with one specific part of the game. As it turns out, Eidos didn’t go wrong with these bosses at all, as they didn’t even make the sequences; t…

Gamers have succeded where scientists have failed. It’s been over a decade since scientists have set out to break down a protein called protease that allows AIDS to multiply. Three weeks ago scientists reached out to the University of Washington’s program “Foldit” which takes science figures and turns them into competitive games. “People have spatial reasoning skills, something computers are not yet good at. Games provide a framework for bringing together the strengths of computers and humans. The results in this week’s paper show that gaming, science, and computation can be combined to make advances that were not possible before.” Seth Cooper, Co-Creator of “Foldi…

Developed by: Techland Published by: Deep Silver Platforms: PC, Xbox 360, PS3 Players: 1-4 Rated M for Mature by the ESRB It’s the zombie apocalypse and you’re trapped in paradise, or is it hell? Regardless, you must fend for yourself and meet up with other survivors to get through this calamity. Fortunately, you’ve brought some friends. Dead Island is a four player cooperative open world zombie role-playing game. That’s certainly a mouthful, but it makes for a surprisingly fresh concept considering how oversaturated the market for zombie games is. There are plenty of zombie games, and even more RPGs, but surprisingly few hybrids of the two, not counting RPGs t…

Not sure how many of you will pop some excitement in your pants for this news, but Square Enix has announced that two somewhat dismal characters from Final Fantasy XIII will be making a return in the upcoming second part of the story, Final Fantasy XIII-2. Snow and Hope were shown briefly in a trailer at the Tokyo Game Show marking their return to your flat screen. Hope appears to have matured physically and Snow is barely recognizable when he reappears towards the end with Lightning’s younger sister, Serah. Not sure about you, but I would take Fang and Vanille over those two clowns anyday.via G4TV and Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article
