EA has recently added language to its end user license agreement that would waive a gamer’s right to engage in a class action lawsuit with, aka “sue”, the company over issues pertaining to its Origin PC service. This same language is used in online-capable EA games like Madden and FIFA online play. The clause goes as follows: “By accepting these terms, you and EA expressly waive the right to a trial by jury or to participate in a class action. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT BY THIS PROVISION, YOU AND EA ARE FOREGOING THE RIGHT TO SUE IN COURT AND HAVE A JURY TRIAL. YOU AND EA AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A P…

Hopefully you do not have your Mass Effect 2 game saves floating around in a cloud save, because EA has confirmed that cloud saves will not carry over into Mass Effect 3. EA also stated that local save files that were moved between consoles using cloud saves will not work either. For those of you that have your Mass Effect 2 save files in a cloud save, you will have to import your save onto an original Xbox 360 hard drive and then transfer it manually to a new console with a USB cord or transfer cable. If you don't have your original hard drive, you are out of luck. via IGN Click here to view the article

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is coming with an in game store just like Mass Effect 2's Cerberus Network. Buying a new copy of Battlefield: BC2 will give you access to a "VIP" code that will allow you to download the store where the DLC will be available, including free launch DLC and paid DLC. However if you buy a used copy of the game, you have to pay to download the store just like with Mass Effect 2's Cerberus Network. No price has been confirmed for how much used gamers will have to pay to have access to the in game store. MTV Multiplayer Click here to view the article

EA is denying a report that went public over the weekend claiming that the money hungry publisher of the survival horror series Dead Space not only ceased production on Dead Space 4, but also canned the whole entire series due to sluggish sales of Dead Space 3.The report being pushed around the internet began on online gaming news website, VideoGamer.com where they claimed a credible source spoke directly to them stating that Dead Space 4 was in pre-production with Visceral Games' Montreal. However, plans changed after EA made a visit to the small studio this past February and it was announced that pre-production on Dead Space 4 was to be stopped. To further complicate ma…

It shouldn't comes as a surprise to anyone that EA loves to milk DLC for every penny that they can get. So this piece of news should be expected. EA has officially announced that in the year 2011, every single title that they launch in 2011 will have online features and paid DLC. That’s right folks. Every single title is going to be milked until it is bone dry. Is this a lame attempt to try to keep down the selling of used copies of their games (looking at you Mass Effect 2) or has EA finally gone too far with the love affair for DLC? bit-tech Click here to view the article
