  1. Some Xbox 360 gamers had the unfortunate discovery this morning of their achievements going missing or their entire gamerscore reset to zero. Since the announcement this morning Microsoft has said that they are aware of the issue and are working on it. They do offer a few suggestions such as signing in and out of Xbox Live and also recovering your gamertag onto your console. There are reports of people confirming that recovering your gamertag seems to fix the issue. via Xbox Support Twitter Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

  2. EA is at it again and this time the server shut down is angering gamers who had to purchase an online pass in order to use the multiplayer. MMA, EA Sports Active 2, The Saboteur, The Godfather II, and a few others that you can find at EA’s Service Updates, are all having their servers shut down on April 13th. EA cites that only 1% of their player base play these games and therefore are no longer needed. Fans of MMA took to EA’s MMA forums to speak their mind about how disappointed they are that EA keeps shutting down servers for games that are requiring an online pass to play and are questioning why EA does not choose to use a virtual server for the games that fall in th…

Have you ever been sitting back in your comfy recliner, when all of a sudden a thought pops in your head telling you to work for a diabolical organization and infect an entire city with a virus that turns people into flesh eating crazies? If so, then Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is just the game you need to play. If you have been a fan of the Resident Evil series since day one, you will find Operation Raccoon City to be a special treat. I myself am a lifelong fan of the series, and I will tell you the only thing I can about the game. It is the best Resident Evil game I have ever played. Other people will tell you otherwise, and I'm still not sure why. It is amazi…

  5. Diablo 3 or “D3″ as many fans are dubbing it is getting ready to launch tomorrow May 15th to an antsy PC crowd. Meanwhile gamers on the console end have been waiting on word on whether on not Diablo 3 will see the light of day after Diablo makers Blizzard had posted job openings that appeared to make it seem like they wanted to test the waters with Diablo heading over the PS3 and or Xbox 360. Well anxious console gamers I hate to burst your bubble, but that was not entirely true and Blizzard has the perfect explanation. In an interview with Gamasutra, Blizzard’s Jay Wilson said that they were kind of lying in order to gain more employees, but they still remain unsure a…

The man most known for not his heavyweight boxing talents, but an unfortunate ear biting incident in a 1997 fight with Evander Holyfield where he bit both of Holyfield’s ears and led to him being banned from the sport, Mike Tyson is headed to WWE 13 as pre order downloadable content. No word on if an ear biter move was added to his wrestling skills in the game. Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

  10. Why in the world would a director of a highly anticipated game say, “20 per cent of the players will see the last level of the game. It’s horrible to know. It makes the people working on it really really sad,”. I have no clue why, but Hitman: Absolution’s director Tore Blystad made this rather idiotic remark in a recent interview with the Official Playstation Magazine. To Blystad’s credit he did say that game was made for people who want to go back and replay it. If you are going off of a 20% finish rating, how in all of the Agent 47 fiber wire gaming goodness is there going to be any replay value? Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

Nintendo has made a disappointing announcement regarding their upcoming console, Wii U. The console will be region locked. Nintendo confirmed the news to Famitsu which was later translated by NeoGaf user Cheesmeister3k who translates gaming events in Japan on Twitter; “That can be played on the Wii U is restricted by a region-lock feature; software not sold in the same region cannot be played”. This should really come as no surprise considering that the Wii and 3DS are also region locked. Tweet This Post Post to Facebook View the full article

On September 11th, Sony launched a lawsuit against Bridgestone and Wildcat Creek Inc. Actor Jerry Lambert who plays Sony’s fake executive Kevin Butler in television commercials is the president of the one of the companies featured in the lawsuit; Wildcat Creek Inc. Sony is claiming that Bridgestone and Wildcat Creek Inc. are both in breach of contract over the Kevin Butler character who Sony believes is being used in another form of advertisement for Bridgestone tires. Rockstar’s Dan Houser released a major spoiler regarding their upcoming spring 2013 release of GTA V. Out of the three main stories that you play through, one of them is the antagonist. Houser made the statement during an interview with The New York Times when asked about the three character story line. “Just at the conceptual level, the idea was three separate stories that you play in one game. he next bit was, let’s not have the stories intersect once or twice but have them completely interwoven. It felt like it was going to be a real narrative strength: you get to play the protagonist and the antagonist in the same story.” Houser also said that Americans do not und…

In your Thursday edition of “I could give two shits about something containing Call of Duty in it”, I present to you the latest rumor regarding 2013′s release of the next installment in a series that others call unique and innovative, however I refer to it as a once great thing turned into a huge steaming cow patty. Siliconera is reporting that Activision is already recording voice overs for the 2013 release of the next Call of Duty which will continue the Modern Warfare story if you want to call it that after Modern Warfare 3. Supposedly there is also a flashback with the now dead “Soap” MacTavish. Anybody remember his death scene? Most un-climatic piece of story tell…

Taking a cue from MTV’s horrible show Punk’d which is aimed at “punking” celebrities that most of the world could give two shakes of a leprechaun’s rear end about, Sony’s Playstation is currently giving out free games, however you cannot play them. The glitch which seems to be centering around gamers that try to take advantage of the Playstation Plus extended free trial membership is allowing users to download trial versions of games, however it is recognizing you as purchasing the full game. Imagine your excitement as you are playing your new “free” game for about an hour and a notification pops up stating that you need to purchase the full game. There are also reporte…
