Xbox Live Players Complain About Disappearing Gamerscore

Some Xbox 360 gamers had the unfortunate discovery this morning of their achievements going missing or their entire gamerscore reset to zero.

Since the announcement this morning Microsoft has said that they are aware of the issue and are working on it.  They do offer a few suggestions such as signing in and out of Xbox Live and also recovering your gamertag onto your console.  There are reports of people confirming that recovering your gamertag seems to fix the issue.
