Despite incredibly oddball Japanese games like Katamari Damacy making it over to shores, some Japanese games don't receive the same following. Sengoku Basara was released in North America on October 25, 2005, but with many significant changes. Whereas the original Japanese game was a fictionalized telling of the Sengoku period in Japan, the localization removed all historical references in favor of a pure fantasy setting, altered various gameplay modes and designs, and renamed the game "Devil Kings". It appears that gamers are getting screwed over again when it comes to being forced to buy DLC if they want to add hours to gameplay. Jun Takeuchi, the producer for Lost Planet 2 has stated that there was "no trouble", but the content was too much for them to deal with. “There wasn’t especially any big trouble. More than those kind of difficulties, the edited content was way too much and dealing with that was more difficult than anything.... This time, truly, the content that was cut was significant." Sega's "top secret project" codenamed 'Project Needle Mouse' has finally been officially revealed. The gorgeous and crisp upcoming FPS from EA and DICE, Battlefield 3 might be getting a beta very soon despite the fact that it's launch is about a month away. The eyes over at MP1st have picked up on three hints from DICE concerning a beta announcement at the beginning of this week. The first hint was found at the italian Battlefield website where DICE teased that fans should "follow" them, that there is a "long awaited" announcement coming tomorrow. That was then followed up by a tweet from Daniel Matros of DICE that stated, "this week is going to be off the hook BF3," and later on David Goldfarb agreed stating "gonna be a great week. Microsoft has managed to secure another ”first” in the battle of the console peeing contest. Just announced at E3, Xbox 360 users will receive the downloadable content before the other guys for the out next year reboot, Tomb Raider.
